Senior Non - Linear Video Editor

Afaq(G) Ltd is seeking a skilled Senior Non-Linear Video Editor with a minimum of two years of professional experience in video editing. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of hands-on experience working within a production house, digital agency, media outlet, or an in-house creative team. This position requires expertise in non-linear editing software, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro, along with strong color grading skills using tools like Lumetri or DaVinci Resolve. The candidate should hold a bachelors degree in Film Production, Media Studies, Mass Communication, or Multimedia, ensuring a solid foundation in media concepts and techniques. Basic knowledge of camera operation and lighting is essential to support occasional shoots, further enhancing the versatility of this role. As a Senior Non-Linear Video Editor, you will be responsible for managing various stages of the video post-production process, from importing and organizing raw footage to delivering polished and visually compelling content that meets client and company standards. You will collaborate closely with creative teams and directors to translate concepts into engaging stories through precise editing and effects. Familiarity with AI-assisted editing and content tools will be advantageous in streamlining workflows and enhancing productivity. Although this role does not involve team management, it demands a self-driven, detail-oriented individual committed to maintaining high production quality and meeting deadlines consistently.
Responsibilities

Edit and assemble raw footage using non-linear editing software, ensuring smooth transitions, pacing, and narrative clarity.
Apply advanced color grading techniques with Lumetri or DaVinci Resolve to enhance the visual appeal and mood of the content.
Utilize AI-assisted editing and content tools to optimize editing workflows and increase efficiency.
Collaborate with directors, producers, and creative teams to understand project goals and deliver video content that aligns with the vision.
Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
Perform quality control checks on edited content, including audio synchronization, color accuracy, and visual consistency.
Support occasional shoots by applying basic knowledge of camera operation and lighting setup to aid the production process.
Organize and archive digital assets meticulously for easy retrieval and long-term storage.
Stay updated with the latest video editing software features, trends, and techniques to continuously improve skillset.
Ensure compliance with company policies and copyright regulations during the editing process.
