This role calls for a strategic leader to manage the entire privatization lifecycle of assigned entities, ensuring all activities align with Cabinet-approved policies and timelines. The successful candidate will oversee due diligence processes, guide transaction advisors, structure transactions, and engage with investors to maximize outcomes. Close coordination with various government bodies and regular reporting to senior leadership are essential to ensure the smooth execution of privatization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership throughout the end-to-end privatization lifecycle, from asset onboarding to transaction closure. Oversee and validate comprehensive due diligence across legal, financial, technical, and operational domains to ensure accuracy and investor readiness. Supervise and guide transaction advisors, legal counsel, technical consultants, and valuers, maintaining quality, accountability, and compliance with Commission standards.

Lead transaction structuring efforts, approve transaction strategies, and engage with both domestic and international investors to assess market appetite and optimize results. Review, finalize, and approve key transaction documents, including Expressions of Interest (EOIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), bidding packages, Share Purchase Agreements (SPAs), Joint Venture Agreements (JVAs), and Cabinet summaries.

Liaise effectively with line ministries, regulators, state-owned enterprises (SOEs), and oversight bodies to resolve bottlenecks and ensure inter-institutional coordination. Monitor transaction progress through dashboards and management reports, providing strategic guidance and timely updates to senior leadership. Perform additional duties as assigned by the competent authority.

Required Qualifications

A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field from an HEC-recognized university is required. Candidates must hold professional certifications such as CPA, FCMA, FCA, FCCA, CIMA, or CFA. Relevant experience in the insurance industry, financial sector, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory affairs, or the power sector is essential.
