ABOUT ACTED PAKISTAN:

ACTED is a non-governmental organization with headquarters in Paris, founded in 1993. Independent, private and not-for-profit, ACTED respects a strict political and religious impartiality and operates according to the principles of non-discrimination and transparency. ACTED has been present in Pakistan since 1993. ACTED Pakistan programmes range from short-term emergency responses to recovery and rehabilitation, as well as longer-term development initiatives. ACTED strategy is to target vulnerable communities affected by natural and conflict-related disasters as well as lack of socio-economic development.

Objective 1 -  Data collection activities

  • To lead & assist the teams in data collection from HH/Individual/villages on the daily basis as per the designed tools.
  • To lead & assist the team in all the interviews planned for a day on the daily basis.
  • Inquire about a variety of specific information given in the survey form.
  • Gather information, record and encode correctly information from a survey
  • To ensure the necessary items to carry out before starting the field work i.e. forms, pens, pencils, erasers, etc.
  • Ensure quality of data in terms of neat and clean entries in the forms with no missing information.
  • Recognize the problems in obtaining data and share with AME Manager/Officer and also proposed solution for them.
  • To ensure timely reporting to supervisor/Project Manager.
  • To facilitate/orient the teams in the field
  • Review data gathered from enumerators to check its accuracy on daily basis.
  • Keep the accurate record and addresses of the HH for future consultation if needed.
  • Ensure informed consent and respect confidentiality of information received.
  • Ensure that respondents understand uniformly questions the way intended, as explained in training given to enumerators before carrying out the data-collection
  • Support and cooperate with the supervisor in team building and better coordination.
  • Collaborate with the Appraisal, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit (AMEU) to assess need, monitor activities, and evaluate Project progress. 
  • Ensure that lessons learned in the course of implementation are integrated into the Project to ensure that it remains responsive and relevant.
  • Be alert to opportunities arising for learning, collaboration and partnership that may enhance Project quality and responsiveness.
  • Be closely involved in Project
  • Developing and planning project’s methodology according to principles of relevance and compliance;
  • Ensure that program strategies are implemented in a coherent manner in the field;
  • Work closely with Team Leaders to ensure proper supervision of field teams;
  • Liaise with local communities, Authorities and organizations in the field;
  • Provide weekly progress reports to Area Coordinator regarding progress of work
  • Coordinate closely with AMEU on data and information collected from the field
  • Liaise with program staff of other ACTED offices to ensure proper information sharing
  • Attend external coordination meetings upon request from the Project Manager/ Area Coordinator;

ACTED’s interventions include the establishment of local representation bodies as well as supporting the rights of women, minorities and marginalized groups; Pillar 4 – Environmental protection and community resilience – This pillar aims to mitigate some of the effects of recurrent disasters, climate change and environmental degradation.
