In Pakistan, this organization has been active since 1993 and has provided assistance across all provinces to an estimated 6.9 million people. The assistance has included emergency response to meet the immediate and live-saving needs of natural disaster and complex emergency affected households, as well as recovery and development support in the form of education and livelihoods promotion and assistance.The Office Helper will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the office premises and providing support to staff in carrying out routine office tasks.

The detailed job description for the position is mentioned below,

 

A. Cleaning Duties

  • Clean and tidy office premises, including office area, bathrooms, corridors, glass windows, furniture, dining areas.
  • Ensure daily cleaning of the office compound and surrounding areas.
  • Regularly empty waste bins.
  •  Disinfect high-touch surfaces and maintain hygiene standards in all office areas.
  • Clean kitchen and dining utensils if required.B. Office Support
  •  Serve tea/coffee and water to staff and guests as needed.

  •  Cleaning & preparing meeting rooms and setting up for events or trainings.
  • Handle photocopying, filing, and delivery of internal documents when required.
  • Assist in loading/unloading office supplies or materials, and keep the updated record. 
  • o   Perform errands within or outside the office as instructed.

 

C. Other Duties

  • o   Monitor cleaning supplies and report when restocking is required.
  • o   Ensure security and safety of office equipment while cleaning.
  • o   Perform any other task assigned by the department related to office support or cleanliness.
  • o   Solar panels also need to be cleaned from time to time.

The staff member is responsible for ensuring that all relations with the communities we work are conducted in a respectful and consultative manner.  Due attention must be paid to ensuring that communities are adequately consulted and informed about Organizational programme objectives, activities, beneficiary selection criteria, and methodologies.  This is the responsibility of every office staff member.

  • Leading by example: Demonstrate zero-tolerance for any form of sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment through your behavior and actions.
  • Creating a safe environment: Ensure that all team members feel safe and supported to report any concerns or incidents without fear of retaliation.
  • Training and awareness: Facilitate training sessions or ensure training sessions are organized to raise employees’ awareness about Organization  PSEAH policy, reporting mechanisms, and their contractual duty to report.
  • Prompt Action: React swiftly and effectively to any alert by transferring them without delay to Country Direction and to the HQ Investigation Unit.”

o   Office, bathrooms, kitchen, windows, and furniture cleaned thoroughly and regularly (daily/weekly schedule adherence).

o   Dusting and mopping done as per routine without reminders.

o   Garbage bins emptied and cleaned on time (daily basis).

o   Toilets and sinks disinfected and cleaned as per checklist.

o   Maintains respectful and courteous behavior with staff.

o   Dresses neatly and maintains personal hygiene.

o   Follows instructions from supervisors without delay or complaints.

o   Maintains confidentiality of office environment.
