Accountant

ACS Commodities is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join its growing small commodities trading business located in the heart of the business district. This on-site role offers a dynamic opportunity for a professional with at least two years of experience in bookkeeping and full-cycle accounting to take full ownership of the company's finances. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing comprehensive accounting processes using customized ERP and accounting software. Additionally, this role includes leadership responsibilities overseeing a team of three persons, ensuring seamless financial operations through coordination, supervision, and mentoring. The Accountant plays a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, handling accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. Strong organizational skills, high accuracy, and excellent communication are essential as the role involves interactions with customers and suppliers. The position requires familiarity with ERP/Custom Accounting Software and an ability to manage cash flow effectively, bank reconciliations, and transactional recording. This role will contribute significantly to the company's financial health and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee end-to-end accounting processes including order management by generating and processing sales and purchase orders.
Create, issue, and manage billing and invoicing accurately and in a timely manner.
Record all daily transactions including payments, receipts, and operational expenses into the customized ERP system with precision and timeliness.
Handle cash and bank management tasks such as performing bank reconciliations and managing cash and bank deposits to ensure accuracy.
Process and manage accounts payable by ensuring supplier payments are accurate and settled promptly.
Manage accounts receivable by processing customer receipts and actively following up on outstanding balances to optimize cash flow.
Prepare comprehensive month-end financial reports that detail the business's financial performance and overall financial position to guide management decisions.
Maintain and ensure accuracy within the customized accounting software by logging all financial data with integrity and compliance.
Supervise, guide, and support a team of three accounting personnel to ensure effective workload distribution and performance excellence.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Continuously monitor financial processes and identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency in the accounting workflows.
Assist in audits and ensure documentation and records meet regulatory and organizational standards.
