Acheron Instruments is seeking a skilled Production Manager (Ppc) to lead and oversee the production operations within our surgical instruments manufacturing facility. This position involves managing a team of 20 individuals and ensuring efficient production processes by applying expertise in production planning, scheduling, and quality control. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial or mechanical engineering or a related field, combined with proven leadership capabilities and the ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The Production Manager plays a pivotal role in optimizing workflow, managing budgets, and coordinating supply chain activities to meet product demand while maintaining the highest quality standards. This role requires hands-on experience in material requirement planning, enterprise resource planning systems, and team leadership, with a strong emphasis on continuous performance improvement and risk management. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in communication, analytical thinking, and decision-making to drive operational success and support the companys growth objectives.
Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily production activities to ensure timely completion of manufacturing schedules while meeting quality and safety standards.
  • Manage and lead a team of 20 production staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.
  • Develop and implement effective production plans, including material requirement planning (MRP) and capacity planning, to optimize resource utilization and reduce downtime.
  • Monitor production budgets, control costs, and analyze financial performance to ensure alignment with company targets.
  • Coordinate supply chain activities, including vendor management and material procurement, to maintain continuous production flow.
  • Utilize enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and Microsoft Excel for production scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies while maintaining strict quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Identify and manage potential risks affecting production timelines and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
  • Conduct regular performance analysis to identify process improvements and implement workflow optimizations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and logistics, to align production objectives with overall business goals.
  • Provide training, coaching, and development opportunities for production team members to enhance skills and improve performance.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management detailing production status, challenges, and recommendations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to elevate operational efficiency and product quality.
