An established healthcare organization is looking for a dedicated Accounts Officer to join their finance team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing detailed reports, and supporting budgetary and payroll processes. Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate daily accounting records, including vouchers, invoices, and financial transactions. Prepare and analyze daily, monthly, and management accounts reports with a strong focus on financial reporting. Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, variance analysis, and budgetary control to support effective financial planning. Manage cash handling, bank reconciliations, receivables, and payables efficiently to maintain financial integrity. Verify hospital collections and reconcile daily cash reports to ensure accuracy and compliance. Process vendor payments promptly and maintain precise supplier ledgers. Support monthly payroll processing and contribute to overall financial reporting activities. Prepare financial and management reports as required by senior management to aid decision-making. Maintain proper documentation and records to comply with audit and regulatory standards. Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and timely completion of all accounting and reporting tasks. Provide financial analysis, planning, and decision-making support to management as needed.
Required Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, MBA (Finance), or a related discipline is required. Candidates should have 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in Accounts or Finance, demonstrating hands-on expertise in financial reporting and budgeting. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and applicable regulations is essential. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, is expected. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary. The ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines is crucial for success in this role.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
