Aausis is seeking a motivated and responsible Accountant to join our team in Karachi. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting principles and practices, with at least one year of professional experience. This role involves maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing financial statements, and managing both accounts payable and receivable. The Accountant will play a key role in ensuring timely financial reporting and assisting management with financial matters.
The successful candidate will be proficient in using MS Excel and accounting software, demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Although this role does not include managing a team, the Accountant is expected to work independently and collaborate effectively across departments to support organizational financial health.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and financial reports.
- Process and manage invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions efficiently.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
- Coordinate with management on financial issues, providing insights and recommendations as needed.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Support the preparation and submission of tax documents and related financial filings.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary financial documentation.
- Continuously update knowledge of accounting regulations and software to improve accounting processes.
- Track and record all transactions accurately in the general ledger.
- Monitor and resolve discrepancies found in accounts and transactions.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of financial procedures and controls.
