Transparency International Pakistan is one of the accredited chapters of Transparency International, based in Karachi. By working across Pakistan, we give voice to the victims and witnesses of corruption and work with the government and citizens to stop abuse of power and strive for a corruption free Pakistan.
The organization is seeking an individual for the position of Policy and Research Coordinator for its “Strengthening Inclusiveness and Integrity in Climate Governance” program. The incumbent will undertake the following responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Produce high quality policy briefs, research reports and recommendations around climate governance frameworks, implementation strategies and action plans on climate related issues and public procurement rules and processes in Pakistan.
- Maintain active engagement with government bodies, public and private sector organizations, academic institutions, donor agencies, CSOs and communities to promote collective action on good governance in climate change.
- Propose actionable policy recommendations to address gaps for implementation.
- Work closely with program team to ensure timely delivery and alignment of research activities with project goals and objectives.
- Conduct workshops to disseminate findings to relevant audiences, facilitate discussion, and develop and implement mechanisms for measuring impact.
- Design Advocacy material and collate relevant information to help with program outcomes.
- Build and maintain partnerships with academic institutions, research organizations, and international bodies to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited university in environmental sciences, public policy, social sciences or relevant field
- 3-4 years of work experience in the areas of research, external engagement, social development sector, preferably in a relevant position
- Knowledge of public procurement, climate governance, climate change policies, processes and rules with interest in anti-corruption and integrity.
- Strong writing, research, and analytical skills are essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work under stress to meet deadlines
