As the Transport and Logistics Coordinator at The Pentagon Food Group, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the movement of goods, vehicles, and personnel to ensure the smooth operation of our logistics processes. You will a part of team professionals, coordinate logistics activities, and drive operational excellence.
Job Type: Full-Time
Time: 10:00PM-07:00PM (Monday-Friday)
Job Responsibilities:
1. Transport Management:
- Oversee the scheduling and coordination of transportation services.
- Ensure the timely delivery of goods while optimizing routes and resources.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance and compliance with regulations.
2. Inventory and Warehouse Management:
- Manage inventory levels and warehouse operations.
- Ensure accurate stock control and timely order fulfilment.
- Implement best practices for inventory optimization.
3. Vendor and Supplier Relations:
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to secure transportation and logistics services.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing for favorable agreements.
- Evaluate vendor performance and resolve issues.
4. Process Improvement:
- Identify areas for process improvement within the transport and logistics operations.
- Implement best practices, streamline processes, and recommend enhancements.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
5. Reporting and Analytics:
- Analyze transport and logistics data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Make data-driven recommendations for process enhancements.
6. Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure that all transport and logistics activities comply with safety and regulatory standards.
- Implement safety measures and conduct regular audits.
- Address safety concerns and incidents promptly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in transport and logistics operations, with at least 1 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of transport, field operations, logistics principles, processes, and best practices.
- Proficiency in logistics software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
