DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
As Hospital Administrator responsible for organizing and overseeing the health services, Security, Maintenance, Catering, Facilities Management and daily activities of a hospital & Clinics facility. Manage staff and budgets, communicate between departments, and ensure adequate patient care amongst other duties.
Responsible for smooth functioning of the concerned Health Care Unit and take all the necessary measures required to maintain the quality standards. Ensure that processes needed for the Quality Management System (QMS) are established, implemented and maintained. Report to top management within organization on the performance of the QMS and areas for improvement. Liaise with the external assessment body on matters related to the external accreditation process. Ensure that a document control procedure is adopted to approve, review and update all changes to critical documents within the scope of the QMS. Maintain & ensure the attendance of all employees & to indulge the habit of being regular & punctual among all team members Maintain the hygiene and cleaning of the unit through concerned janitorial staff and trained them to implement effective infection control policy. Ensure the availability of all services, Medicines, Consumables, Oxygen and other Gases to end users (Patients) with the liaison of relevant departments. Preparation & enforcement of the duty Roster of medical, nursing & paramedical and admin staff. Ensure security plan & deployment of security guards as per set protocols. Ensure in time maintenance of equipment hospital & office furniture, equipment’s etc through relevant staff. Provide daily & Periodic reports to the top management as and when required.
• Serve as a liaison among governing boards, medical staff, and department managers.
• Organize, control, and coordinate services as per the hospital board regulations.
• Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations.
• Oversee the development and implementation of programs and policies for patient services, quality assurance, public relations, and department activities.
• Evaluate personnel and prepare daily reports.
• Assist with recruitment, consenting, screening, and enrolment of personnel.
• Practice financial acumen in managing budgets.
• Authorize admissions/treatment as per agreed protocols.
• Ensure that stock levels are adequate and orders are made on time.
• Communicate medical results to patients under clinical supervision.
• Sterilize instruments in accordance with OSHA requirements.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation of patient visits
• Good knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, ICD, and CPT coding (highly advantageous).
• Critical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
• Great attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
• Superb organizational, administrative, and planning skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and react effectively to emergency situations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
