ABSTRACT Car parking is now one of the most important problems in developed countries, as well as in developing countries, which must be solved through technology. In multiplex systems there are many parking lanes, so to park a car you have to look for all lanes. Furthermore, there are many men involved in this process for which there are many investments. Finding an unoccupied parking space easily in the larger parking lot is a problem for many drivers. Many parking models have been developed over the last four decades. But the models still cannot solve the parking problem. So it is necessary to develop a system that directly indicates which parking area is empty in any lane. The project includes a system that includes a microcontroller, infrared transmitter and receiver in each lane and an LCD and LED screen outside the parking gate. So the person entering the parking area can see the LED screen and can decide which lane to enter to park the car. Traditionally, parking systems do not have an intelligent monitoring system. The parking lots are controlled by human beings. All vehicles enter the parking lot and waste time looking for the parking slot. Sometimes it creates the block. Conditions worsen when there are several parking lines and each lane has several parking areas. The use of an automated system to monitor car parking will reduce human efforts. The display unit is installed in the parking entrance which shows the LEDs of all the parking areas and all the parking lanes. The empty slot is indicated by the respective LED on. The parking indicator system could be used for residential buildings, hotels, offices, shopping centers and exhibition halls, universities, government buildings, airports, hospitals and stadiums. The parking indicator system advantages are the efficient use of spaces, slots, assignment and the display of empty and parking places is complete
