My education and experience include BS. (Hons.) Applied Microbiology and 5 Years of Working Experience at Sabirs Poultry Diagnostic and Food Analysis Laboratory in Sheikhupura, Pakistan. As an Asst. Manager, I took the charge of the lab when there were merely empty halls. I purchased all Equipment, Media, Chemicals, and Consumables and built a team for the Lab. I developed, standardized, and optimized the required tests for Poultry Diagnostics and Food Microbiological Analysis.
Ive also participated in various International and National workshops and Training in which, most importantly, I learnt qPCR, NGS, Poultry Viral Diagnostics and Compliance of ISO 17025 and ISO 15189.
During my studies, I have taken Diagnostic Microbiology, Food and Dairy Microbiology, Quality control in Biologics and Biosafety and Biosecurity subjects which equipped me with the knowledge of Good Lab Practices (GLPs) with an emphasis upon laboratory safety and associated Microbiological Risks. I also learnt about bioburden testing and how it plays a major role in the maintenance of quality control. I intend to utilize all this knowledge and even learn more while working for your organisation.
In short, I have enough background knowledge and skills which I can effectively use during working as a Microbiologist. I also have skills of Teamwork, Team building, Team Leading and meeting deadlines.
I do all functions pertaining to running the Lab.
I started this Lab from Zero. I purchased all the Equipment, Reagents, Media and even Furniture etc. I recruited and trained the staff for the Lab.
Now we have 40+ different tests related to Food Microbiology and Poultry Diagnostics i.e;

SPAT,
Bacterial Culturing,
Pathogens Isolation (Salmonella, E. coli O157:H7, Campylobacter, Listeria, Clostridium, Staph., Yeast, Mould, General Enumeration etc.).
