As the editor of Brides & You fashion magazine it is my responsibility to arrange for all editorial and digital content of the magazine.
- Planning and formulating complete content and theme.
- Commissioning the work to in-house and freelance writers. Obtaining all the written material and features covered in every issue.
- Attending events, writing, conducting interviews, surveys and other feature articles.
- Organizing and conducting seminars and forums focused on social issues through the platform of the magazine.
- Planning and organizing cover shoots and fashion photo shoots.
- Over seeing page making, designing and complete layouts etc.
- Creative direction, storyline and content provision for video production for clients’ ads.
- Handling the magazine’s social media pages, generating engaging content for digital media for the magazine as well as its clients which includes video articles etc.
- Interacting with social media agencies, PR companies, celebrities and socialites on behalf of the magazine.
- Overseeing print quality in the UAE printing house and dealing with printers as well as distributors.

Writing: As a freelance journalist I have been writing on a wide range of topics related to lifestyle, doing research based articles and humorous pieces of social satire. My writings have been published in ‘The News’, ‘Pakistan Today’, ‘Pique’ Magazine, ‘The Nation’, ‘She’ Women’s Magazine, ‘Eastern Eye UK’, ‘Movie Magazine’, ‘Buzz’ Magazine, ‘Me & My Wedding’ Magazine, and the magazines and newsletters of Kinnaird College, Beaconhouse Informatics and Punjab University Dept. of English Language and Literature.

As the Assistant Editor, I was required to write editorials on the current issues for the newspaper. It is also my job to edit articles for the editorial pages as well as op-ed pages and letters to the editor on a daily basis.

As the editor of weekly magazine ‘Lounge’, at national daily Pakistan Today, the entire magazine content and layout was my responsibility. This included lifestyle and fashion pieces, event coverage, fashion shoots etc. I have done interviews of high profile women as well as many celebrities related to the field of media, lifestyle and fashion. I have also been writing on lifestyle topics such as interiors, food and film reviews etc. I was heading a team comprising of feature writers, photographers, sub-editors and graphic designers. Together we produced one of the most successful weekly magazines of the country, which reached heights of success in a very short span of time.

I was hired by one of the leading national newspapers ‘Daily Times’ to launch their ‘Lifestyle’ section, a project which I successfully completed in record time, making it the first ever daily page on lifestyle in any Pakistani paper. It comprised of all topics related to lifestyle and magazine journalism, such as food, gardening, home décor etc.

• Conducted Digital Photography workshops for USAID, NCA, LUMS, teaching digital photography, photojournalism, event coverage, fashion, bridal and product photography.
