- Advise patients, parents or guardians and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury in infants and children.
- Monitor patients' conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary.
- Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results.
- Act as the on-call doctor to attend all the complications arising during dialysis procedures.
- Conduct daily rounds of the dialysis unit; examine Electronic Medical Reports of patients; ensure that the instructions of the Nephrologists are being adhered to in all cases.
- Conduct pre- and post dialysis analysis of vitals, weight and other relevant tests and identify patterns of singularity that might need medical attention.
- Perform supervisory role to Technicians in ensuring that all sterile precautions are met; patient safety protocols are adhered to, in terms of patient conditions, vitals and using medical equipment.
- Closing the dialysis procedure as per protocol; further to ensuring that all information is updated and monitored.
