• To visit the factories, stitching centres and surgical instrument workshops of participating manufacturers and their sub-contractors, to verify the information on child labour provided by participating manufacturers and to monitor their compliance with the agreement signed between Sialkot Chamber of Commerce(SCCI), Surgical Instruments Manufacturing Association of Pakistan (SIMAP) and ILO.
• Identify the children from the workshops/factories as well as from the communities and to bring them back to schools which were established by ILO in collaboration with local NGOs.
• Assist SIMAP and SCCI in order to develop an internal monitoring system.
• Co-ordinate with the implementing partners under surgical project.
• Examine the record related to vendor workshops/ sub-contractors, maintained by the participating manufacturers.
