Becoming a Chartered Accountant (Finalist) has imparted sound technical knowledge including an understanding of the International Financial Reporting Standards, various corporate reporting and compliance regulations and taxation laws in the corporate environment.
I have extensive experience in conducting audits and other agreed upon procedures, covering a variety of sectors including financial institutions, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, manufacturing, oil and gas, fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), energy sector, non-profit organization, security services and employment retirement benefit funds, amongst others. My responsibilities include:

• Leading engagements, planning, assigning, reviewing work of others including subordinates and meeting deadlines.
• Verification of key audit areas in light of the requirements of the IFRS and other local laws.
• Assessing business and audit risks, evaluating internal control framework, preparing detailed reports on audit findings and making recommendations to improve organisation’s policies and practices.
• Communication with professionals of various fields including legal, managers to discuss various aspects of the projects.
• Managing and enhancing business relationships with clients including identification of new service opportunities.
• Assisting clients in preparation of statutory and foreign reporting packages in accordance with IFRS and other frameworks.
