Developed an online shopping portal as my lab project. Which included concepts of database management, HTML, CSS, .net .
Our CNC Machine would be 2-Dimensional and will be having a Laser attached to it for the Engraving or cutting purpose. The 2-D structure would move the laser extruder on the X and Y axis. The CNC machine will be a having a dimension of approximately 40cm by 40cm.We would be using 2 Bi-Polar Stepper Motors, each will make the extruder move on one axis. Having around 200 steps in one revolution and making it move step by step, a stepper motor is the best match for our machine. The machine would be able to accommodate many size of pages. The motors will be controlled using Micro-controller through the Driver circuit. Using software we will upload an image and the software would convert the images into G-Codes and the micro-controller interpreting the codes will move the motors accordingly and as a result would get an engraved picture in the material. If a paper is placed under the structure, the laser will be able to cut the cage according to the design provided by the user. We would be using a Blue laser with power 500mW and a wavelength of 445nm. Moving on, the image (2D/3D) will be given via a computer. From where it will be fed and processed in a microprocessor. This microprocessor will then control the three motors accordingly, tending them to move across the railing. Software program made should be able to read the G&M code and translate it to the activators.The activators are 2 motors: x-axis motor and y-axis motor These motors will be mounted on railing .Motors will move on their respective railings and in doing so moves the Laser Extruder in x and y axis. The laser will move in all 2 dimensions to carve into wood, polystyrene and cardboard etc.
The 2-D Laser Engraving CNC Machine is a sophisticated design to build but it is very worthwhile when the project completes. The main factor and reason why this project is being developed because Engraving CNC Machine is cheap to develop. This project is a pioneer in the printing industry as it provides better accuracy
