I have worked with several YouTube channels and Vloggers to help them transform their videos into highly engaging contents for their target audience.

💡 My Thought Process:

The most engaging element in order to gain high attention of audience is a story and unpredictability. The best way to achieve this is the emphasis on the intro and opening sequence of the video which should make the audience watch the whole video.

✔️ Opening:

The opening sequence can have a message of the video in a subtle way by giving a taste of the climax and the rest of the video should be about "How" not "What". The "What" part has been answered in the intro sequence.

✔️ Anticipation is the Key:

There should be a Problem or a Question at the beginning followed by the journey filled with anticipation to keep the audience on the edge of their seats. "Something is about to happen"; when this is the thing on your audience mind then congratulations, your content is highly engaging.

✔️ Competition:

Human attention span is getting low by day because of the abundance of information out there. Why should they watch your Videos when thousands of people are uploading on social media daily.

✔️ The Secret Rule:

The rule highly engaging content creators employ is to give something to the audience every few seconds in the form of a B Roll, Image pop ups, Motion Graphic Animation or a Title. These elements with a Woosh or a Click sound effect are the uniqueness that people loves subconsciously and buy idea. Add a call out and there you go, you get another follower.
