Scope of Role: This role involves leading one of the largest teams in the business, comprising a total headcount of more than 500 individuals. The key responsibility of this role is to deliver Snacks Volume (Sundar Plant) for the business while sustaining BIC KPIs and ensuring a healthy ELR environment. Additionally, the role is responsible for identifying and unlocking future capacities, driving cost-efficiency, and ensuring that the function is prepared for the future. This also includes delivering on productivity through KPIs and other potential cost saving projects for the business. Collaborating with the planning team and key stakeholders (Agro, QA, RMWH and Engineering) to maximize throughput and win consumers in the marketplace. Furthermore, it involves driving sustainability KPIs for production and ensuring that production lines are operating in line with BIC water and energy targets.
Key Achievements and Highlights:
• Successfully achieved a 10% capacity increase on the PC-50 Line by increasing the oil flow rate. Phase-1 (5%) has been successfully approved (GTOPPS) and implemented, adding an additional capacity of 1000 tons per year to the system.
• Achieved the highest-ever TE (True Efficiency) for the site, reaching 93%. Sundar stands as the best site across AMESA in TE. This accomplishment involved evaluating and addressing every opportunity area, with shift-wise tracking. Major focus areas included unscheduled downtime (DT), FCO, BCO, and reducing BO (Boil Out) time.
• Planned to deliver $3.5 MM in productivity in 2023 through key initiatives, including capacity unlocking for all three platforms (PC, hard, and soft extrude), reducing operating supplies consumption by 20%, and leveraging localization. Achieved benchmark energy consumption for the PC-50 line by replacing KHX with iHX. Optimized chemical consumption (15% less than the previous year) along with source (Supplier) changes, reduced nitrogen consumption through leakage prevention, and conducted former health checks (resulting in a 5% reduction in consumption compared to the previous year). Improved all key KPIs compared to the previous year, including Basic Efficiency, Oil Efficiency, and Laminates Efficiency.
• Achieved OHS scores exceeding 90% for the function, with the highest engagement scores of 95% across the BU.

• Successfully ideated and gained approval (GTOPPS) for Process Water and Blancher Water Loop Back projects, utilizing water from the Blancher stream and Process SBW, Conveyors, etc. Both projects are expected to significantly contribute to Site water KPI, with a YTD basis impact of 0.6 l/kg.

Scope of Role: This role involves leading a small and agile Engineering team focused on reducing equipment downtime, extending critical asset life, assisting our Maintenance staff in working efficiently and effectively and contributing to our site’s commitment to achieve BIC M&R score. The role is responsible to create reliability awareness, strengthening SAP PM implementation across Site along with leading Mechanical Maintenance & Technical stores agenda. The role is also responsible to drive & deliver M&R cost for the Site.

• Successfully delivered 52% reduction in UPDT to land 0.5% UPDT for the Site- making the Site BIC across AMESA through the implementation of SAP based Preventive Maintenance Regime, development of FMEA based maintenance plans and scheduling, Downtime analysis-based insights and prioritizing and maximizing resource productivity
