Worked with ACTED International in the sector of WASH, Education, DRR, Youth Livelihood Skills, Food security Agriculture, Shelter, Nutrition, Safeguarding and Cash Transfer Programs in Pakistan. Led the monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning of large-scale humanitarian and development projects, and having good understanding of USAID, ECHO, UNICEF, WFP, FAO, FCDO, IOM funded projects and reporting. Role and Responsibilities 
 Being the primary focal point for communication between ACTED and its implementing partners (IPs), coordinating all partner-related aspects with relevant ACTED departments
 Lead on partner identification and due diligence processes and risk mitigation plan when projects necessitate the presence of an implementing partner.

 Working with the Project Development and the Finance Department, to ensure that internal and donor reporting requirements are met.
 Working with the relevant Program department, ensure that project kick-off/close-out and lessons learning meetings are held with the implementing partners and that partners are fully informed of their role and commitments.
 Working with the AME Department, contribute to the development of partner M&E Plans, including work on log-frames and indicators, and ensure that project indicators are regularly and systematically monitored and reported.
 Working with the Finance Department and Compliance/Transparency Department develop partner payment, audit and expenditure verification plans, and monitor/coordinate their implementation.
 Working with the Logistics and HR departments, in line with ACTED’s partner classification system, ensure partner follow appropriate Logistics (incl. procurement) and HR (incl. recruitment) procedures.
 Manage reporting flow between partners and ACTED, including verification of partner accountability documentation where required.
 Working with relevant ACTED departments, report issues of partner non-compliance and ensure compliance action plans are developed and implemented. Capacity Building
 Ensure that partners implement appropriate project management and accountability tools and systems, especially on GESI and Safeguarding.
 Ensure that partners are trained on and understand ACTED’s Code of Conduct and its accountability, transparency and grievance management system.
 With partners and with ACTED departments develop and implement organizational and technical capacity building plans, as relevant to the programs implemented with/through partners.
 When relevant, implement ACTED’s Grassroots Organization Institutional Capacity guidance (for sub-party grantees in CSO capacity building related projects).

The Area Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of ACTED’s projects in a Province Role and Responsibilities:
Ensure ACTED Representation in the area of activity:
 Re-presentation vis-à-vis provincial authorities: Participate in official meetings to ensure maximum visibility vis-à-vis provincial authorities.
 Re-presentations vis-à-vis Donors: Establish and update contact details of potential Donors active in the area of activity; Participate in Donor meetings at provincial level and communicate relevant information to the Country Director; Circulate the Annual Report.

Contribute to the creation of a positive image and overall credibility of the organisation, notably through the application of ACTED’s mandate, ethics, values and stand-point with regard to other actors.
Contribute to the development of a global intervention strategy and to support its implementation at provincial level:
 Analyze the context and develop strategic plans, in consultation with the Country Director: Gather and analyses information regarding opportunities and risk. Define an operational strategy for finances and HR.
 Implement the financial strategy: Oversee drafting of projects and budget development. Lead fund
raising and negotiations with Donors in the area of intervention. Lead the application and adherence to contract terms and requirements. Supervise overall financial commitments and financial risk.
 Implement the operational strategy: Supervise Project Managers in the area of intervention in project implementation. Ensure global coordination and complementarity amongst projects within the area of intervention. Assess activities and ensure efficient use of resources. Ensure completion and regular update of Project Management Framework. Build and/or improve systems to supervise and manage the implementation, monitoring, learning and evaluation of program;
 Oversee Reporting procedures: In coordination with the Project Development Manager develop a reporting schedule with regard to Donor deadlines; plan and supervise the development of narrative and financial reports.
FLAT Management:
Closely supervise and monitor the work of finance, administration and logistics in the area. Set up and follow up of weekly FLAT meetings with Area FLAT team.
Supervise FLAT system and procedures within the base and build a strong communication with Islamabad FLAT team for better implementation.
Respect ACTED FLAT system and ensure that all FLAT documents are timely provided for Islamabad FLAT team and Coordination review.
Oversee Staff and Security:
 Guide and direct the staff of the area of intervention: Organize and lead coordination meeting. Prepare and follow work plans. Ensure a positive working environment and good team dynamics. Adapt the organigram and ToR’s of personnel according to the area development. Undertake regular appraisals of directly supervised staff and pass appraisal forms to the Country HR and Administration Manager with recommendations (new position, changes to contract or salary etc.  Oversee staff security: In cooperation with the Area Security Officer, monitor the local security situation and inform both Country Security Officer and Country Director of developments through regular written reports. Update the security guidelines in the area of intervention.
Ensure that security procedures are respected by the whole staff Safeguarding Focal Person:
 Being Area Coordinator I was the focal person for all safeguarding matters. I had to ensure compliance of all ACTED policies at area level.
 Addressing all complaints and update to country coordination and country HR department well on time. Forward all level 4 and 5 complaints (sensitive) to country HR department for further process

TRole and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Deputy Area/ Area Coordinator, the Project manager is responsible for the implementation, management, and development of the designated project.  Ensure that Project / Field staff are given training and complete all the necessary documentation in line with program requirements.
Coordination:
 Ensure regular meetings with HR, Finance, and Logistics Departments to support mechanisms such as the BFU, Procurement plan, and recruitment are completed on time and reflect operational realities/needs. Reporting:
 Support the Reporting manager (PD Manager in Islamabad) in the preparation of reports to be submitted to Donors / Authorities / Coordination bodies (i.e. OCHA / Internal Coordination).
 Provide reports covering activity implementation, achievement of objectives, successes / challenges, beneficiary feedback, etc.
