Working as a Relationship Manager in the Group Financial Institutions, a centralized international unit of the Habib Bank AG Zurich. Responsible for developing relationships with major domestic and international banks, secondary market distribution, risk management, MIS Database, and coordinating with internal and external personnel on FI, Trade Finance, Compliance, and risk matters.
Relationship Management:

Developing relationships with major domestic and international banks, liaising with them through strong product and service execution to facilitate/promote the trade business for the group.
Developing and managing business relationships with local and international correspondents including FIs, NBFIs, and Insurance companies.
Responsible for secondary market trade distribution desk (buy and sell) for the Group globally.
Facilitating HBZ network in the allocation of LC advising or reimbursing banks, enabling LG issuance, LC confirmations, and credit line arrangements.
Preparing and monitoring the business trends, group performance, budget progress, etc.
Responsible for organizing GFI’s Annual Conferences domestically and internationally with the cross-border teams and ensuring the logistics and smooth flow of the conference.
Assisting the CEO – Group FI and Treasury with the business review, reports, analytical support, group presentations, and industry research.

Risk Management and Compliance:

Structuring and managing global credit lines for counterparties; administration of the Group’s global exposure for trade finance business.
Country Profiling and allocating country credit and treasury lines, which includes conducting risk and financial analysis of local and international counterparties and reviewing credit proposals.
Assisting in preparing credit rating/application/renewal of country and bank credit limit for the Group Credit Management Committee's approval.
Responsible to arrange credit limits for group banks within the assigned turn-around time for a smooth flow of trade business Finance.
Maintain a record for transaction approvals, credit limit shifts, EOLs, within the Group, and exceptions extended by the Group FI across the network.
Integrated SWIFT Registry; Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence for Financial Institutions at all HBZ locations and adhere to all Regulatory, Domestic & International Compliance, internal and external policies, and guidelines.
Manage RMA portfolio; including requests, initiation/cancellation, and perform necessary Due Diligence as per policy.

Centralized MIS – Database:

Developing and maintaining group-wide Trade Finance MIS; for performance review, business analysis, and to present the same to the General Management.
Developing weekly and monthly reports; country and bank lines utilization by HBZ group; maturity profiles, commodity concentration, and product-wise performance.
Responsible for submission of group reports, i.e., Monthly Scorecard and Dashboard, business with correspondents, and other reports as and when required.
Process reengineering for streamlining the system-based reports generation.

Projects & Achievements:

Prepared GFI Directive, Process Manual, and Strategy Paper for the group.
Prepared and presented the vision for the expansion of the Group Network – Strategy for China, Sub-Saharan Africa, Turkey, and Far East.
Presented the strategy for the opening of Representative Offices for the group in different parts of the world.
Prepared country update papers on Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Turkey, China – US.
Planned group participation in IMF, SIBOS, and other international events.
