Wireless Power Transfer

Wireless power transfer is necessary part of modern life where the interconnecting wires are inconvenient, hazardous and impossible. The concept of wireless power transfer was realized by Nikola tesla. Wireless power transfer can make a remarkable change in the field of the electrical engineering which eliminates the use conventional copper cables and current carrying wires. Wireless power transfer can be used for charging batteries those are physically not possible to be connected electrically such as pace makers (An electronic device that works in place of a defective heart valve) implanted in the body that runs on a battery. Based on this concept, the project is developed to transfer power within a small range. The main objective is to design a wireless charging bench for mobile and laptop. By applying this technique and also make the efficient design in table form for this purpose we develop a new market product. This project give the basic concept of witricity in which power transfer in AC form at high switching frequency of 100kHz. An electronic circuit which converts AC 230V 50Hz to AC 24V and 10A, for this purpose high current rating stepdown transformer is used. High current rating is necessary for transfering the energy from transmitting end to receiving end efficiently. 24V AC converted in to DC by 50A rectifier bridge.Then again DC is converted in to AC by inverter circuit switched at high frequency so that energy is effectively reach at receiving end without dies out. The output is fed to a bifoiler coil forming as primary and energy is transfer by the process of magnetic induction to the other bifoiler secondary coil. The secondary coil develops a voltage so by rectifying this we can charge the DC battery of either mobile or laptop.
