My JDs involve drafting project reports and relevant documents to disseminate information to stakeholders. Also, I have been given the additional charge of the entire health chapter along with other subjects under our program in KP. The procurement process is facilitated and completed in collaboration with the logistics and finance departments. I believe with my skill set, I can complement the team and make valuable contributions to this effort. I assist in arranging trainings and workshops for capacity building of provincial health teams and field staff. Also, I monitor and review the success of training programs through questionnaires and discussions with stakeholders. The collection of data on training and development activities of health and health-related personnel in the private and public sectors comes under my domain. I also look after liaising with medical institutions and assessing programs to determine if they meet the health needs of the country and of the Ministry of Health. I keep a record of all data, ensuring quality checks, eliminating any errors and forwarding these documents to the relevant departments as necessary. I regularly coordinate with provincial and district chapters to ensure any challenges are resolved promptly. With that, I assist in monitoring visits to the field.
My professional journey has equipped me with valuable medical writing skills and the ability to critically assess scientific evidence. I have a proven track record in guidelines production and field experience with international organizations. My role involves ensuring the alignment of the Essential Drugs guideline with international standards while adapting it to the organization's needs. Additionally, my experience extends to revising and creating drug sheets for the guidelines. I hold an M. Phil in Pharmacology from Khyber Medical University, Peshawar, and possess excellent communication skills in English. Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, along with scientific tools such as EndNote, SPSS and GraphPad Prism, enhances my ability to communicate and analyze data effectively.
I have worked as a Quality Assurance (Pharmacist) in a reputed organization International Rescue Committee where I gained comprehensive knowledge about procurement and supply chain management, quality management, inventory control, budgeting and procurement of medicine. My responsibilities involved program planning and strategy that included the development and implementation of program plans, objectives, and strategies aligned with organizational goals. In collaboration with the editor of the Essential Drugs guideline and author-coordinator of clinical guidelines, I contribute to the writing and revision process. I used to define program scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders. Additionally, I used to identify and prioritize program initiatives based on strategic importance and resource availability. I also developed program schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans. Furthermore, I used to look after the program execution and monitoring. Being a Trainee Pharmacist at Northwest General Hospital I have performed multiple responsibilities ranging from clinical ward rounds participation, floor stock management, and counselling the public on prescription and nonprescription medicine. I used to review and process physician orders for an accurate therapeutic dose and monitor drug interaction by applying drug administration protocol according to renal profile. I educated pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals on special products and drugs. Additionally, I restricted antibiotic management and control. The chemotherapy dose management and its palliative care management were also dealt with by me. My operational responsibilities involved quality management, compliance, inventory management, monthly expiry management, monthly internal & external audits of pharmacy stock and supervision of the fulfilment of prescriptions by a technician.
I have recently completed training in PHAST, MHM & ECV related to health, gender and volunteer roles in epidemics. moreover, I have certification in Community Based Health & First Aid (CBHFA) supported by IFRC. I have also been selected as the only female from KP to participate in the training of trainers, Roadmap to Resilience and Enhanced Vulnerability and Capacity Assessment under USAID. I have also been trained and certified as a member of the Branch Disaster Response Team supported by IFRC, which enabled me to cope the emergencies. Besides that, I have been selected to participate in International Humanitarian Law training supported by ICRC. Moreover, I have facilitated and participated in training for youth named Y-ABC & Y-ADAPT under IFRC. I have served as a facilitator across KP in eVCA trainings.
Moreover, I have been part of assessments conducted in flood-hit areas under IFRC in multiple sectors such as health, livelihood, water sanitation and hygiene of the community. Further, community interaction in FGDs and CBOs enhanced my community engagement skills. The meetings with district administration, government departments and officials, and joint activities in the Dengue prevention campaign polished my collaboration skills along with leadership capabilities.
My enthusiasm for healthcare initiatives is further exemplified by my active participation in health development programs and volunteering for health organizations. As a woman from a community with traditional values, I am driven to contribute to women's education and empowerment. I played a vital role in medication management and patient care. I was responsible for accurately dispensing medications, including both prescriptions and over-the-counter products, and ensuring the safety and efficacy of these medications through thorough reviews and checks for drug interactions. A key aspect of my role involved counselling patients, providing essential information about medications, such as usage, potential side effects, and storage guidelines, and supporting medication adherence.
I also used to manage prescription and inventory tasks, verifying prescription orders for accuracy and legality, maintaining an appropriate stock of medications, and ordering supplies as needed. I also, handled administrative duties such as processing insurance claims and addressing billing issues, all while delivering high-quality customer service by resolving any medication-related queries or concerns.
Collaboration is another critical component of my duty. I frequently communicated with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to optimize patient care and referred patients to additional healthcare providers when necessary.
