UGV with robotic arm for bomb diffusion and serveillence

I have designed an economic unmanned ground vehicle with robotic arm for bomb diffusion and surveillance. A five DOF robotic arm is mounted on the vehicle to perform dangerous tasks without the presence of human being. It can be sent to a suspicious area and by using IP web cam it can transmit live video to monitor that area. UGV and robotic arm are controlled wirelessly by using Xbee module. The UGV has ability to pick and place a bomb away from the populated area. It can detect a bomb by using metal sensor. Ultrasonic distance measurement sensor helps the robot to detect a hurdle. HMI for the vehicle is developed in LabVIEW to control the vehicle and robotic arm. This robot is a command and control robot it takes command from the operator and perform the required task. The basic purpose of this project is to provide a line of defense to the soldiers against the threats faced by them while performing dangerous operations. This robot can help security agencies in bomb diffusion, bomb detection and to perform search operations with the minimum chance of loss of precious lives of soldiers.
