The Maternal & Child Survival Program is a multi-partner, flagship program in support of USAID’s priority goal of preventing child and maternal deaths. Our work is evidence-based and results oriented. We focus on increasing coverage and utilization of high-quality reproductive FP services ,at health facility levels.,
• Facilitate District level activities with the Department of Health
• Conduct and facilitate all the training of Health care providers ,
• Supervise the team of MCHIP at the district
• Coordinate with all Implementing partners in order to provide quality services
• Facilitate Midwifery led Birthing Centers at the districts
• Supervise on the job mentoring and coaching•
• Provide technical support to MCHIP district teams in managing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating MCHIP district nutrition activities.
• •Participate with nutrition working groups and ongoing coordination with stakeholders in the district.
• •Coordinate with partner organizations and key stakeholders to plan and implement nutrition strategies and plans of action in the district.
• Conduct training of LHW-Mother Support Groups in the community and other community-based nutrition activities in the district i-e nutrition sessions & cooking demonstrations etc.
• Develop district based Training plans for Health care providers & conduct Trainings
• Assist the surgeon on surgical contraceptive
• Care the clients before, during and after surgery
• The equipment checked to make sure that the instruments are functioning properly
• Ensuring that all relevant medical appliance are available
• Develop SBM-R activity plan and calendar in consultation with the Director Health Services & Technical Advisor, Primary working relationships and reporting to Technical Advisors.
• Conduct or co-facilitate all steps of SBM-R(Standard Based Management & Recognition) including:
• Review & Revise developed desired performance standards
• Conducting actual performance analyses
• Assisting with root cause analysis, action plans, and follows up visits.
• Mentor health facility staff in the practice of conducting self-directed actual performance analyses and in managing SBMR action plans.
• Maintain records of facilities and providers enrolled in the SBM-R program.
• Recommend strategies for quality improvement.
• Input for SBM-R data from actual performance analyses into SBM-R database.
• Facilitate PHOs with accurate reporting, including documenting SBM-R activities and lessons learned.
• Promote the SBMR approach to PRIDE program counterparts and external partners.
• Concerns to the Primary Health Care Director.
• Collaborate with Community Mobilization team counterparts in demand generation activities as developed through annual work plan.
• Attend PRIDE staff meetings as directed by Health Services Director; communicate openly about activities of SBM-R; exchange ideas in support of maximizing results.
• Liaison with partners in the field and report issues and concerns to the Director and Technical Advisor Health Services.
• Provide support for field assessments or evaluations as appropriate.
• Liaise with other organizations in the areas of quality assurance and represent the PRIDE project at meetings and events as directed by the Director and Technical Adviser Health Services.
• Explore the challenges faced at facility level in implementation of SBMR with their probable solution.
• Implementation of SBMR Malaria ,TB and IMNCI at District level
Major responsibilities includes
• Assist in designing, planning and conducting capacity building workshop for facility level trainers
• Worked with NRSP, NCHD and National Program with close collaboration in Community Development Program regarding training
• Assist in designing, planning and conducting training & trained Community Health Workers under the curriculum of Mother and Child Health.
• Trained Traditional birth attendances on Mother and Child Health
• Assist in designing, planning and conducting capacity building workshop for health committees of various union councils Conducted several health sessions with Women Vocational Centers.
• Conducted training on training record keeping and reporting tools for Community health supervisor and Community health worker Monitoring Officers of CDP.
