SOFTWARE ENGINEERING PROJECTS
1. EMARKETING SYSTEM (Universityacircs Final Project)
Developed E-Marketing System in ASP.NET (Visual Web Developer 2008) using C as scripting language. MS SQL Server 2005 is used as database server. E-Marketing System is developed for sending bulk emails and SMS to contacts using Internet and GSM modem (or cell phone).
2. SMS COMMUNICATION LIBRARY
Developed an SMS Communication Library (dll) for use in SMS Service. Main objective was to send longer SMS via GSM Modem (using smart messaging features). Planning to redesign and enhance the library.
3. SMS SERVICE
Developed an SMS Service (Windows Service) to facilitate the clients of company by providing them their required financial summary on their cell. Client can schedule daily SMS or can get info by sending an easy and friendly command.
4. IVR VOICE RECOGNITION (current)
Currently working on Asterisk PBX (Trixbox on CentOS Linux) as a team member. Objective is to develop a service that communicates with various Insurancesacirc IVRs, recognizes their voice, supplies info requested by IVR and records specific claimsacirc information told by IVRs. Installed, integrated and configured a third-party Speech Recognition Engine (LumenVox) on CentOS Linux. Also developed SRE Grammars according to SRG Specifications. This valuable project is now in production and being used successfully.
5. On-PHONE PAYMENT (via Credit Card)
Worked on on-phone payment module on CentOS Linux as a team member. Done php-agi scripting for handling back-end operations and communication with web services.
Custom SMS and Email Campaigns Developed, launched and handled custom SMS campaigns for MTBCacircs products, services and special offers in US.
6. STORE OPERATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (Inventory System)
Worked in development of Store Operation Management System outsourced by a software house working in Islamabad. Developed a generic report loading and filtering framework which gives feature of making and applying filters prior to loading the crystal reports. Also developed a built-in calculator for prompt calculation and a label designer to design labels to be pasted on store items.
7. PEOPLE PRESENSE COUNTING AND REPORTING APPLIATION
Developed people presence manager and reporting application. This application reads data from a set of proximity card reader machines and displays who is inside/outside along with date/time of check-in/check-out. It can filter people based on their designation/group and their inside/outside status. It also generates reports of inside/outside people using Crystal Report for easy printing and exporting results to different formats.
8. AUTOMATIC RESULT CARD GENERATING AND PRINTING SYSTEM (2007)
Developed a result card generating and printing system for a private school using reporting features of MS Access. The system has been used for compiling results.
