Monitor and report on key issues (context, risk, etc.) to the Field Coordinator and provide support in analyzing contextual information, through a sound knowledge of counterparts, in different administrations in order to improve decision making processes.
Assist Field Co in building new networks and continuity of relation with the existing contacts. File and update field contacts and correspondence in order to ensure information sources accuracy and its availability on regular basis.
To assist Field Co in following up any legal requirements (NOC, MoU) and associated reporting at the project level.
Assist the Field Coordinator in the drafting of correspondences with authorities and counterparts (government officials, UN agencies, NGOs, etc.) in order to ensure fluent and accurate communication flows.
Assist the Field Coordinator in Internal and External Communication sessions and events about MSF (for National staff, the Ministry of Health staff, as well as local authorities) in order to improve awareness and public opinion adhesion.
Organize advocacy contacts and appointments for the Field Coordinator with local authorities and partners to ensure the continuity of relations with local actors and involved counterparts.
Prepare and conduct briefings on the project context to new employees in order to facilitate their integration onboard and within the project environment.

Performing on a day to day basis the purchasing activities of a supply office, analyzing market sources and competitive pricing conditions among different suppliers in order to ensure an ongoing supply of goods, following the procurement procedures and according to MSF standards and protocols. Including the following activities:
Requesting invoices or receipts, without delay, for all purchases, checking they are correctly filled and translating information written in local language before approval
Managing the administrative and accounting procedures related to purchases: completing purchase orders, checking delivery notes (against orders), managing advances issued by the Finance Department, etc. Updating information on purchase lists after purchases are made
Assisting in reception control process with the storekeeper
Constantly assessing the local market, seeking products and suppliers that offer the best value for money and negotiating prices in order to guarantee the best quality and pricing for MSF goods and commodities. Regularly updating the supplier-item-price data on the supply office and informing the Supply (Activity) Supervisor / Logistics Supervisor of all information or modifications to the data i.e. price, address, items available
At the request of the line manager, obtaining different quotations from suppliers according to the MSF Purchasing policy and placing purchase orders to pre-selected suppliers with whom prices have been agreed
Performing delegated tasks according to his / her activity and as specified in his/her job description.
Translate for the expatriate Medical Doctor and Midwife during medical consultations, and other expatriate staff when necessary, this will include staff meetings, interviews, explanations of duties, teaching sessions.
Translate MSF documents like, protocols, rules & regulations, presentations from English to Urdu and Local language (like Pashto, Urdu), and from local languages to English as requested.
To assist in any obstetric emergencies related to translation.
Translate discussions / meetings as requested.
To inform the expatriate employee, if a statement is inappropriate in that setting, in order to avoid problems which may harm the organization or employee.
Always keep respect towards patients, collaborators, authorities, military factions and MSF staff participating in discussions.
Ensure confidentiality of all translation is maintained as directed by the Mission/Project coordination team.
Ensure neutrality and accuracy when translating.
Declare any “conflict of interest” when asked to translate (e.g. personal involvement) which would necessitate using other staff members for translation.
Inform international staff about local customs, tradition, etc., that will help understand better the context and better communicate.
