Evaluate and maintain Siegwerks India HSE compliance with applicable law and regulations as well as with Siegwerk Global standards and guidelines.

Oversee the coordination with regulatory agencies to maintain compliance with environmental and safety regulatory licenses and permits, especially in investment projects.

Prepare and submit safety and environmental reports to local authorities.

Develop and implement training material on safety, environmental and related topics for use by employees, supervisors, and managers.

Conduct internal HSE inspections/ audits. Document and report identified deviations and recommended measures to local management/ the person in charge. Follow-up the implementation of defined measures and check their effectiveness.

Support HSE incident investigations and ensure the definition of reasonable countermeasures. Follow-up the implementation of these measures and check their effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with regard to incident reporting towards authorities, management, Global HSE and other relevant parties.

Gather, analyze and communicate regularly defined KPIs and if relevant the status of target achievements to local/ regional management and Global HSE.

Develop, implement and maintain local procedures in accordance with Siegwerk global standards and procedures.

Support in carrying out risk assessments for workplaces. Fulfill the requirements of a specialist function in the identification of hazards and defining meaningful measures to reduce the risk.
Give safety guidance in the design of workplaces, operating procedures and the provision of work equipment.

Support in carrying out HAZOP studies, including the risk of explosion hazards, and risk assessments for machines. Fulfill

•Responsible for achieving OHSAS 18001 certification.
•Participating in development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
•Improving Plant Operations’ Procedures as per the followed safety standards.
•Reviewing technical proposals for firefighting and fire alarm systems installation.
•Investigating industrial accidents and occupational injuries to determine root causes using Safety-Based Root Cause Analysis (RCA) technique.
•Setting rules of chemicals handling, transportation and storage segregation as per International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code.
•Conducting and coordinating staff trainings in areas such as chemical handling, risk assessment, emergency evacuation plan, forklift safety, basics of first aids, hazard communication and other safety trainings.
•Performing functional tests and inspection for firefighting and fire alarm systems.
•Creating and developing safety documents like Job Hazard Analysis, Risk Assessment, Safety audit reports ... etc.
•Implementation of safety audits and inspections over REDA Oilfield Chemicals plant and REDA Chemicals warehouses.
•Coordinating with REDA Oilfield UK HSE Coordinators to issue REDA Oilfield Chemicals HSE manual.
•Providing technical advice and guidance on how to handle safety problems and implement and follow up implementation of corrective actions.
•Compiling and analyzing statistical data related to safety records like incidents reports, Lost-Time Injury Frequency (LTIF), Total Recordable Incident Rate Frequency (TRIRF), … etc.

Conduct regular site safety inspections, advice and report any violation in order to maintain safety for personnel and company properties.
• Ensure Health, Safety & Environment aspects compliance with company's policies.
• Audit and participate in the execution of Permit to Work (PTW) activities to ensure plant safety (Personnel & property).
• Advise and report any violation, Near Miss, Accident in order to maintain safety for both personnel and company properties, Moreover prepare reports based on the outcome of investigations of accidents.
• Safety train the new employees to explain the company activities hazards, and organize fire fighting and Tool Box Talk (TBT) , to maintain safety awareness for company's employees and contractors.
• Responsible for the timely inspection of all fire and safety equipment to ensure that it was in a state of permanent readiness.
• Identify safety signboards, signage and other educational materials to be installed at site.
