Provide technical guidance and input into emergency and risk communications materials and initiatives under emergency programme
Supporting the development of emergency communications strategy as implemented by the Communications Unit: ie development of operational guidelines, media SOPs, Risk Communications messages, media spokespersons & influencers list, audience and channel analysis.
Development of the Narrative for national and international audiences to guide external communications around health emergencies.
Key Messages and talking points for countryhead ahead of key interviews or events
Providing support to provincial communications officers for the development of localised messages and content about local health challenges
Support media events and interactions such as press briefings, journalist interviews and journalist/donor field visits as directed
Provide technical feedback into preparation of materials and content ahead of such events
·Coordinate on logistics as is needed with partners for localised events and international events
Provide input into training sessions for spokespersons for the programme and capacity building/sensitisation sessions for local media
Organize and conduct communication capacity building/coordination meetings internally for WHO when needed
Maintain country office database of audio/visual materials captured in the field by Communications officers, including all key metadata and caption information
· Working with the provincial communications officers collect and manage multimedia materials from the field
· Working with external media companies to document field activities that capture emergency programme contribution
· Make database/archived materials available when needed
· Ability to capture materials in the field with camera and contribute to building emergency programme database
Support community engagement strategies under the High-Risk communities (religious support persons) as required
· Provide additional support to timely implementation of work of RSPs, coordinating with the Religious Support Officers in Federal and Provincial Offices.
· Support the social mobilisation and health promotion teams are in the development of strategy and analysis of emergency health interventions
· Attend and provide close follow up to the recommendations and action points from social mobilisation and health promotion team
• Responsible for a school communication with different target audiences, including parents, teachers, publishers, examination boards
• To further develop the school’s website and ensure that all information is relevant, current, representative of the breadth of the school’s work, and meets the needs of parents and external stakeholders.
• To source news stories by establishing effective channels of communication student representatives and other contacts within the school.
• Identify and develop new opportunities for engaging with the other schools at national and international levels and local communities
• To manage the press cuttings and produce a central record of activities
• To provide an effective response to media enquiries in accordance with the school Protocol advised by the Principal.
• To write and edit content for the school website and other electronic media (e.g. Twitter, facebook, texts) and other publications in a user friendly format and to seek costing and arrange for printing as required
• To produce publications and circulars for staff and distribute accordingly.
• Preparation of reports for the school management team and other marketing professionals with recommendations on building a more positive attitude and highlight the areas of communication gap
• Responsible for designing high quality web pages, brochures, banners, logos, signs, books, advertisements, and other communication materials for school promotional activities
• To oversee the production of printed publications. To write materials for the informational materials such newsletters, case studies, bulletins, pamphlets, directories, and posters.
• Liaise with vendors, exhibitors, and stakeholders during the school internal events and to ensure everything is in order.
• Book venues, entertainers, photographers, and schedule speakers
• Manage all event set-up, tear down and follow-up processes
• Conduct final inspections on the day of the event and ceremonies to ensure everything adheres to the client’s standards. Collaborate with several departments within the company as well as local community groups
• To research and write news/press releases according to the events.
• To present the organisation activities on all social media forums
• To handle all the communication tasks including internal and external and to build bridges with organizations, partners, donors and all stakeholders.
• Act as a focal point for all communication regarding project and travel NOCs of country and field offices.
• To coordinate ceremonies, press conferences and plan and host special media and public events nationally and other events or special projects.
• To form collaborative partnerships with other organizations and spread information about charity work
• Develop and maintain filing system
• Plans and coordinates one or more programs for a non-profit organization, including fundraising, budgeting, and community outreach
• To maintain the calendar with changes in national and international regulatory legislation and laws and ensuring that organization is working with in their domain.
