Essential Duties
Maintain a safe work environment to enforce health and safety policies and regulations in the workplace
Coach, lead, and mentor all warehouse employees (receivers, pickers, loaders, forklift reach drivers) to ensure compliance on company

standards and processes

Utilize all employees on shift to ensure operational schedules are met

Foster communication and teamwork among staff to ensure accomplishment of operational goals

Manage all warehouse employees and ensure conflicts are resolved appropriately

Engage fellow associates by leading pre-shift meetings, addressing complaints, providing recognition, and resolving problems (with the

assistance of their manager as appropriate)

Oversee the receiving of goods, put away into pallet storage, as well as loading into trucks and shipment

Work with the dispatch team to control traffic on the shipping dock

Manage special deliveries for key accounts and ensure all processes are adhered to at all times - prepare order by gathering product onto

pallet, pick best quality product, etc.

Maintain and distribute weekly warehouse staff schedule

Evaluate staffing needs to meet daily, weekly, and seasonal volume swings

Coordinate waste, corrugate, and pallet pickups with vendors

Schedule facility maintenance and direct resolution to equipment issues (preventative maintenance, appointments with repair technicians)

Perform training with all new hires – picking paths, order picking, forklift reach operations (put away, replenishment), and communicate

company policies within the warehouse

Operate Produce Pro software and all sub menus

Assist managers with the hiring process of associates

Required to work overtime, if requested

Perform other duties as required

Goods In

loading and unloading goods from delivery vans or lorries

checking that the correct quantity and type of goods have been received

recording any damaged, missing or faulty goods

signing the delivery form, once satisfied that the goods are complete

moving the goods to the correct area in the warehouse, either manually or using other handling carts

Storage & Stock Control

allocating storage space to goods

relocating and re-stacking goods to make space for a new delivery

keeping records (often computerized) of goods, their location and quantity

re-ordering if stock levels fall too low

Goods Out

picking goods that have been ordered

keeping records of goods which have been picked

preparing dispatch notes and labels

moving and stacking goods ready for delivery, either by hand or using machinery

General Responsibilities

compliance with security procedures and health & safety

maintaining the warehouse in a tidy state and clearing away packing material and debris

using computerized systems, barcode scanners and other technology to record goods movement
