Job Overview

Job Overview/Summary:
Community mobilization and demand generation activities are a critical component of the project program activities (Sexual Reproductive Health & GBV). Apart from responsibilities as described in JD, Outreach Officer is responsible to implement additional role in a specific geographical region if and as assigned to them by the supervisor. Outreach Officer is responsible to create a self-maintained and self sustained system of community engagement, awareness and mobilization at the allotted communities regarding IRC programs. Outreach Officer has to play leading role in capacity building trainings both for Services Providers and clients. Furthermore, he/she is responsible to capitalize partners, forums and organizations, which can chip in to the cause of the IRC programs at the project universe. He/she ensures that community mobilization-built connections to local partners and beneficiaries, generates demands, and most importantly educates the community with accurate information on Sexual Reproductive Health & GBV and other programs of IRC in the project area. Such endures also ensure that local men, women and youth are actively engaged and made part of the Project activities in their own communities. The efficient involvement of communities thus leads to the success of the IRC programs.
1. Outreach Officer is working to shrink the gap between services seekers and services providers,
2. Impart improvements in the DoH outreach system,
3. Ensure broad community level SRH education through DoH outreach staff,
4. Promote linkages between DoH Outreach staff and community-based forums and influencers,
5. Extend support in provision and dissemination of issues specific and context relevant IEC materials.

Major Responsibilities:
