Job Purpose
The Base Manager is responsible for planning, coordination and , implementation of the project in accordance with the donor’s requirements, MdM’s values and guidelines, and with respect to the humanitarian principles advocated by MdM; he/she is also entrusted with representing MdM with local authorities, and ensuring that the operations deployed are delivering quality health care services to the beneficiaries;
Responsibilities
- Plans, supervises, monitors and timely implements all program activities in the area of operations with a support of Base Admin/Finance and Logs in accordance with the plans and directives of the coordination team and the programs coordinator;
- Effectively supervises and manages all support units (logs, Admin, HR, Finance, Social mobilization and DRR) in addition to the medical team in the clinics;
- Manages and oversees the base and field staff, oversees day-to-day management, development and training, appraisals, and ensure that timely support is provided by hierarchical and functional line management through effective coordination to produce quality performances;
- Supervises and audits personally on frequent basis, the operations in the clinics, emphasizing the quality of care, the quality of relationship with the beneficiaries, and the assets status;
- Ensures transparency and accountability tools, processes and mechanisms to persons of concern and beneficiaries are in place;
- Creates bonds and develops strong networking channels with community leaders, and elders in addition to governmental agencies and institutions present in the area of his/her base; report on monthly basis to the programs coordinator the activities related to networking;
- - He/she is hierarchical supervisor of Base administrator, Base logistician, Medical supervisor, Base Pharmacist, Program officer Social mobilizer & DRR/Social mobilizer(in case no supervisor exist),Team Leader;
Oversees all the Administration, Logistics and Security Matter of the Organization at Head Office as well as at Field Offices; (Bannu, Bajaur, Swat, Madyan Nowshera, & Peshawar);
