I delivered honorary Lecturers on BIM and Integrated Building Design to M.Sc. students at UET Lahore. Training was conducted using a small scale residential building with 3D model which was integrated up to 5th dimension of BIM i.e 3D modelling with integrated MEP services, 4D (Scheduling and 4D simulation) and 5D cost (Quantification) with the help of BIM softwares.

I Studied benefits of 4th and 5th dimension of BIM i.e. Time and Cost and compared it with conventional construction techniques in Pakistan. At first, I devised 3D model of high rise building in Pakistan using BIM tools such as Revit Architecture. Then Revit Structure and Revit MEP were used for preparing structure and MEP drawings respectively. The project was scheduled in Navisworks Manage 2014 and 4D simulation was run. Various clash detection tests were conducted such as Mechanical vs Structure, Electrical vs Structure and Plumbing vs HVAC. After 5D quantification on Navisworks Manage 2014 project was concluded to be 32.3% cost efficient with BIM.
