概要

I was born in a community that encouraged and trained the kids to develop a civic sense and a sense of volunteerism. For that purpose, I was registered with the Ismailia Girls Guiding Association at my village level. My first pledge and oath at the age of six were to dedicate my life to the service of my community in particular, and Pakistan in general. This pledge of working to uplift the communities in need stays with till now. I believe in strong Civil Society and Youth Activism in community development. So, along with my studies, I worked with Youth Based Organizations to promote education and assist the deserving students living in the far-flung areas of Gilgit-Baltistan, through advocacy and financial support. I led IFL (Investing in Future Leaders), a project of OEC (Organization for Educational Change) as a Direct IFL. Apart from that, I worked with Milky Way Youth Movement as an Academic Director. After my graduation, I formally worked with Teach For Pakistan as a Fellow. My job responsibility was to work closely with FDE (Federal Directorate of Education), Students, Government schools, and the communities surrounding the school. This experience of two years enabled me to study the root causes of educational inequity in Islamabad, and generally in Pakistan. Working with marginalized communities in the rural sector of Islamabad enabled me to observe the issues and challenges of students belonging to ignored socio-economic and socio-political backgrounds. As a solution for the prominent critical thinking problems of the students, I worked on a Community Development Project on Meta-Cognition. I want to work on areas that directly or indirectly impact the lives of communities in need.
