Humayun Khan is a project management and Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning specialist. He has over eleven years of first-hand experience working in complex humanitarian and development settings in some of the most volatile regions affected by conflict and fragility in Pakistan. Areas of programmatic focus include education, peacebuilding, positive child and youth development, modern slavery, Livelihood, Shelter, WASH, refugees and displacement, humanitarian assistance and community development. He has expertise in working with non-linear approaches, such as Outcome Harvesting and Sprockler.
Lead implementation of country M&E framework.
Oversee the systematic and continuous data collection and analysis on the progress of activities over time and monitor results in terms of timeliness, quality and accuracy in line with the logical framework approaches(LFAs), best practice and project management.
Support and oversee periodic assessments including baseline, midterm and end line evaluation of projects implemented in Pakistan.
Provide technical support on M&E and evidence-based recommendations to the relevant Project Coordinators and Head of programs.
Liaising with M&E officers and other partners to maximise the benefits of data collection, analysis and reporting.
Assist Head of Mission in the identification of potential problems/gaps in the implementation and bottlenecks and recommend appropriate solution and strategies to address them.
Support in the writing and compilation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, midterm, annual narrative and end of project reports;
Plan, coordinate and provide feedback for project’s monthly, quarterly and mid-term reviews, annual reviews, evaluations and other relevant research planned in the project.
Update the monthly activity and/or output trackers in order to feed into the M&E component of the quarterly progress report.

• Design and conduct of the participatory surveys and impact assessments for Macro, Micro economic and socio-cultural impact of Afghan refugees on Pakistan

• Conducted End-of-Programme Evaluation of DfiD funded ‘Increasing financial resilience and economic empowerment of disadvantaged young people and promoting gender equity in marginalized communities of Umerkot, Pakistan’
• Applied three complementary qualitative methodologies, namely Most Significant Change, story-gathering through Sprockler, and Outcome Harvesting. In addition, desk research has been done, as well as three validation workshops were facilitated in two different villages in Umerkot with beneficiaries and project staff.
•Ensure project management key phases are well planned and executed for assigned project that includes project initiation, planning and design, monitoring and control and close of project as per guidelines of donor and expected results.

•Ensure timely and accurate reporting outputs by overseeing monthly reporting actions, ensuring templates are completed accurately, analyzing monthly data and production of regular summary reports of country programs.
•Identify innovations and improvements to enhance effectiveness of the MEL program framework and systems.
•Compile qualitative and quantitative data related to mid-term and end-of-program assessment, including but not limited to interviews with Community Mentors, youth participants, and community members. Provide overall support for trainings, including MEL sessions and co-lead MEL training sessions for Community Mentors and incoming staff.
•Support internal evaluations and case studies, ensuring: strong coordination, rigorous design and data collection techniques, comprehensive analysis, and wide-spread communication of results.
•Co-lead operational research studies, focused in on key measures of process, outputs, and quality.

Report writing: Produced a detailed seminar report on Environmental Stewardship and Forestry Issues in NWFP for Sungi Development Foundation.
Case Studies: Visited working areas of Sungi and extracted productive case studies from the field regarding, Social Mobilization, Enterprise Development, Health, Education and Human and Democratic Rights.
Impact assessment Studies: Analyzed impacts of Sungi Programmatic interventions in Sum Elahi Mang District Mansehra and produced a detailed report
