Being a professionally qualified Accountant - ACCA and Masters in Economics & Finance, have more than 20 years of professional working experience, out of which about 15 years in Not-for Profit sector including 12 years (2005-2017) with Marie Stopes International Reproductive Choices - Pakistan (One of the biggest partner of MSI Reproductive Choices UK) in a senior capacity, being one of the most acknowledged team members) working closely with CP Executive leaderships and MSI UK team members.
I have number of years of experience working on different multi million dollor projects funded by DFID, USAID, Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation, European Commission, UNFPA, The David and Lucile Packard Foundation and other institutional funding. Hence, have a sound knowledge on key compliance and reporting, financial management, pre/post-award requirements.
During my career in NGOs while managing a large and diversified portfolio of grants, have gained exposure over business process improvements, internal controls, risk assessment and evaluation, strategic business planning, proposal development, reprogramming, donor liaison, budgeting, forecast, financial management, reporting, grant management, FX management, timely management / group / donors and statutory reporting delivering with accuracy and completeness, development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures, capacity building of team and partners, sub-award management, ERP implementation, several successful and clean project and statutory audits, project close-outs etc.
I have attended several international and local personal and professional development trainings and workshops including donor compliance, sub-award management, leadership development, change management, and annual global business meetings/workshops.

Major donors includes USAID ($80.0 mln), DFID (£ 20.0 mln), European Commission (€ 10.0 mln), UNFPA ($ 5.5 mln), STBF follow on funding for Phase IV ($ 15.0 mln) and other local and international private donors including David & Lucile Packard Foundation-USA, FHI 360, Research & Advocacy Funds (RAF), OMV Pakistan, Pathfinder International etc. Ensured Capacity building of finance and non-finance teams, and sub-awardees i.e. Creative Social Marketing (CSM Pakistan) and HANDS. Managed the Monthly / Annual closing of accounts and group reporting in line with meaningful commentary on the management reporting pack.
