E&I Engineer
During my training period, I have been given the responsibility of learning manufacturing process as well as Electrical and control systems of plant.
• Provide my efforts to ensure smooth and safe shift operation of plant with co-operation of Electrical engineering team.
• Study and oversee detailed drawings including one-lines, plans, PID drawings and detailed wiring diagrams of machine units installed at plant.
• Arrange / manage maintenance resources/documentation in a timely manner.
• To be a part of project commissioning team whose function is to install and commission different machine units in plant. e.g Hydraulic Press, Glaze Tile Sucker Machine, Instrument Test Bench for Electronics Lab.
-- Design Control panels, Power Panels and cable routing channels.
-- Installing and commissioning of VFDs, Soft Starter.
-- In-house built PLC based automation systems with programming and complete technical documentation of those automation systems.
During my tenure of Power House and Utilities, I got the training about operation and maintenance of Caterpillar G3516C Gensets and the electrical distribution network.
• Engaged in topend maintenance of Caterpillar Gensets of 5 x 1.6MW capacity.
• Understand the Electronic Control system of engine genset with interface their instrumentation.
e.g: Air flow sensors, temperature sensors, pressure sensors, servo actuators, position sensors, detonation sensors, speed sensors etc.
• Understand the operation and maintenance of Atlas copco screw compressor and Air dryer and their instrumentation.
e.g: Temperature sensors, differential pressure sensors, heat exchanger, controller module etc.
• Understand the detailed drawings of process of power house includes water circuits, absorbtion chiller, heat recovery systems and compressed air network.

Technical Officer

Electronics Engineer
My work responsibilities are programming of PLC based systems, process layout designing on HMI, operation and maintenance of inverters, VFD and servo drives systems.
Internee Engineer
I have seen P&ID’s, instrument loop diagrams, various control systems and understand engineering design of various plants of Pakistan Steel.
