 Leads and oversees the duties carried out by staff within blending and filling section performing supervisory functions at the level established by Management.
 Ensure that staff members work according set standards and procedures, the work place is kept clean and tidy and safety procedures are adhered to.
 Assist the lube and Grease plant Department Manager in organizing blending and filling schedules.
 Oversees the daily dip taking of base oil and additives storage tanks by using the calibration record for each tank to check the volume and temperature.
 Calculate the correct quantity to ensure that there is sufficient material available to meet requirements.
 Prepare the base oil and additives stock statement, showing the stock of bulk materials in each tank and type of product.
 Submits statement weekly to the Department Manager.
 Gathers daily production details and prepares blending reports, monthly stock statements and other reports as required, such as consumption of each ingredient.
 Assists the Lube and Grease plant dept Manager in developing existing manual production reports, not covered by the information held in the system
 Determine ways to automate the manual reports through liaison with the I.T Department.
 Supervises and oversees the withdrawal of base oils, additives and empty packages from storage tanks and Lubricant stores.
 Arrange and oversees the receipt, sampling and discharge of bulk liquid additives containers (BLC’s) and ensures that delivery discharge is into the correct tanks.
 Check the quality and quantity of goods received.
 Ensures that correct formulation is used for blending of required grades, in accordance with set formulas, by comparing with the Quality control Laboratory sample.
 Supervises the withdrawal of samples of finished products from the kettles, and send to the Laboratory for testing.
 Arrange any necessary adjustment to be made such as further blending. Arrange the re-blending of slow or non- moving lube grades by coordinating with the laboratory and Quality Control.
 Plans manpower distribution in Lube blending and filling section accordingly to daily production schedules and proper allocation to each section at the start of shift each day.
 Coordinates with planning Engineer to prepare and issue daily filling program in accordance with weekly production program provided by Planning Engineer.
 Oversees duties of the Lube Supervisor-Filling Senior Technicians, Technicians to ensure that the ISO 9001-2008 quality control procedures are adhered to all time
