I am a seasoned Continuing Education Professional with over a decade of immersive experience in Continuing Professional Development at Shifa International Hospitals Ltd, a prominent institution accredited by the esteemed Joint Commission International (JCI) in Pakistan. Throughout my journey, I have been at the forefront of shaping Training and Learning initiatives at the esteemed Shifa Foundation, a distinguished PCP Accredited Non-For-Profit Organization. By seamlessly integrating these programs, I have fortified the structural framework of the esteemed Shifa Center of Professional Excellence (SCOPE).
My expertise spans a wide spectrum, ranging from project management and program analysis to activity planning, team leadership, and fostering continuous improvement processes. Backed by a Master of Science degree in Project Management and a Master's degree in Business Administration, I bring a robust educational background to the realm of health professions education.
Equipped with certifications such as Certified Health Profession Education Professional (CHPE), Certified Program Coordination and Administration (CPCAT), and various Project Management certifications, I consistently stay abreast of industry advancements, thereby enhancing my proficiency in educational practices.
Currently, I hold pivotal roles in leading the continuing education and professional training programs at SCOPE and Shifa International Hospitals Ltd. Additionally, I serve as the ACCME Focal Person for Shifa Foundation's accreditation process and oversee the accreditation of the AHA International Training Center, ensuring unwavering adherence to quality standards and compliance regulations.
In my capacity as a faculty member at SCOPE, I find immense joy in imparting knowledge in Project Management and Business Management, aligning perfectly with my passion for education. Head of Department / Associate Manager, SCOPE
Leadership and Program Management:
· Lead a multidisciplinary team in medical teaching, professional learning, and research ventures across four programs: Continuing Medical Education, Training and Development, Research and Ethics, and Life Support Trainings.
· Integrated the newly formed division, Shifa Center of Professional Excellence (SCOPE), with the alignment of goals and objectives of the Shifa Foundation, ensuring synergy and collaboration.
Accreditation and Compliance:
· Led the Accreditation Council of Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Accreditation process, ensuring alignment with ACCME policies and standards.
· Oversaw the design and implementation of the American Heart Association (AHA) - Accreditation Program, aligning program objectives with AHA policies.
· Ensured compliance of SCOPE with Pakistan Center of Philanthropy (PCP) Accreditation standards.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
· Prepared, led, and executed the strategic plan for the division, aligning strategic goals with HR, Technical, Financial, and Hospitality frameworks.
Program Development and Management:

Policy Review and Compliance:
· Review and update departmental policies and procedures related to Continuing Medical Education (CME) to ensure alignment with evolving industry standards and best practices.
· Ensure CME compliance with the Joint Commission International (JCI) standards, both for traditional and electronic CME (eCME), including compliance for Home Care services.
Educational Needs Assessment:
· Determine and prioritize the educational needs of various specialty groups within the hospital, ensuring that CME efforts are tailored to address specific knowledge gaps and professional development requirements.
Curriculum Development and Implementation:
· Incorporate new developments in medical education, including techniques, materials, and learning methodologies, into the design and implementation of CME programs.
· Develop and implement a culture of education in alignment with the Accreditation Council of Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Policies and Standards, as well as Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC) Policies and Standards.
Policy and Agreement Management:
· Develop and implement policies and guidelines for CME activities, Continuing Dental Education (CDE), and Continuous Professional Development (CPD), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
· Manage agreements between sponsoring bodies and Shifa International Hospitals Ltd (SIHL) for CME programs and activities.
Content Development and Communication:
· Edit pre-event and post-event write-ups for publication in Shifa Speaks and press releases in national/international newspapers, effectively communicating the impact and outcomes of CME activities.
· Serve as the editor of the CME/CPD Bulletin, contributing content and generating concepts for documentary productions.
· Create and review content for Shifa Speaks, Shifa\'s social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube), ensuring consistent and engaging communication with healthcare professionals.
Data Management and Analysis:
· Maintain and track CPD/CME/CDE credit hours, issuing certificates annually and customized based on physician and healthcare professional requirements.
· Analyze dashboards of CMEs/CDEs/CPDs to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of educational activities, informing future program development and improvement efforts.
