Technical Officer - RF EME (Telecom)
• Developed python-based data scrappers to scrape, compile and export the antenna details from ACMA web and RFNSA STAD in a structured format, for automatic STAD/CANRAD validation, EMEG Equipment list generation, and faster/accurate population in software, saving load of time and reducing workload.
• Developed batch scripts, SQL scripts, advanced MS word macros, XML mapping and excel templates for data analysis, files organisation & technical document automation.
• Recognised as best performer for completing the most projects (over 100 EMEGs) within first 4 months, managing multiple projects with effective change management, and improving workflow/processes to significantly reduce the delivery time and minimise the inaccuracies.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of and ensure compliance with ARPANSA, RFNSA, NATA, ACMA ACIF and MCF requirements for 3G/4G/5G Radio Access Network and EME modelling/guidelines.
• Design the antennas and radiation patterns for different communication systems, including VHF, UHF, microwave, & LTE/NR/WCDMA, in ProX5 software using national antenna database (NAD).
• Use proprietary 3d CAD software (ProX5 EME) to model and map EME levels (exclusion zones) based on FC drawings, RLMs, CANRAD, Near Map, antenna datasheets, power link budget and radiation patterns.
• Prepare EMEG Reports for complex radio comm. projects (rooftops, IBC, towers, poles, small cell, macros, greenfield) and different carriers including Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, NBN, GRN and 3rd party.
• Perform simulation, parameter tuning, optimization, and modelling for preliminary RF drawings.
• Liaise and communicate with stakeholders for issues resolution and necessary information.
