My job descirption was to handle clients from UK, UAE and Canada. I was performing supervisory roles regarding Accounts Bookkeeping in multiple platforms (Quickbooks, Microsoft Dynamics, XERO, Peach Tree, VT Transactions) and duties related to Financial Reporting related tasks.
Duties as General Manager (Finance & Operations) in a packaging industry includes;
1) Statutory and Regulatory Compliance;
2) SECP and FBR related notifications;
3) External Audit and Internal Audit engagements;
4) Managing Payables, their ageing and making arrangements for payments of payables;
5) Manageing receivables and performing Ageing analysis for recovery pruposes;
6) Making arrangements for filing of monthly sales tax returns, depositing of Sales Tax Witheld etc;
7) Filing of monthly Income Tax Witheld statements under section 165 of Income Tax ordinance 2001;
8) Finalisation of Income Tax Return after each year end;
9) Performing routine checks in order to remain compliant with ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems;
10) Managing imports and dealings with banks for opening of L/C and their retirement related matters;
11) Pereparation of Final Accounts at each month end;
12) Making arrangements for filing of exemption for income tax under section 153 and 148 of Income Tax Ordinance 2001;
13) Managing H.R. related issues, approval and disbursement of salaries of employees managing E.O.B.I. and Social Security;
14) Approval and finalization of management accounts and taxation book keeping;
15) Assets Management;
16) Dealing & liasoning with insurance companies for insurance of imports and assets of company;
