Southern Area Development Project (SADP) was a foreign funded (MDTF) project supervised by World Bank & Local Government, with a total cost of USD 22.00 million.
Challenges: Establishing a Human Resource Department from scratch. Defining a strategy to improve organization performance and employee management. Recruiting the right fit talent for the management team.
Strategy: Led a 5 member team through departmental structuring, strategic re-haul, and talent management and development. Transformed the company into a performance-focused company by adhering to merit-based hiring. Linked organization targets with employees’, establishing their annual goals. Established a 360-degree performance appraisal program.
Developed and implemented a first-ever short and long term People Strategy focusing on business objectives. Pioneered the implementation of the HR Dashboard.
Developed recruitment plans, conducted post selection employee investigations and verifications that supported in the recruitment of optimum resource.
Managing employee grievances, poor performance, or misconduct by applying set disciplinary actions, creating a platform for accepted working standards.
Results:
Project won South Asia Procurement Innovation Awards 2017 amongst the whole Asian countries under the supervision of Human Resource Department & Procurement.
