Mr Umair has been managing multi-sector projects, designing and implementing Monitoring and Evaluation Systems and conducting project and program oriented evaluations since 2009. With experience in multiple sectors like Health, Education, Poverty Alleviation, Infrastructure Development, WASH and livelihood enhancement And he worked on different projects including family planning and reproductive health, maternal and child health, immunization, micro-enterprise development, livelihood enhancement and related capacity building programs. He worked with multiple donor agencies, including USAID, DFID, Bill Melinda Gates Foundation, Packard Foundation, UNICEF, UNDP, WFP, FAO, Medico Int, Oxfam-Novib, PPAF, WaterAID and other various public and private agencies. He provided technical assistance to the management of the monitoring and evaluation of various projects, conducted trainings of health care providers and school teachers in diverse locations of Sindh, South Punjab, and Balochistan.
Umair has developed, managed and implemented online centralized databases to track the flow of information within complex, multi-layered, geographically dispersed projects, placing a specific emphasis on data quality and quantity.
He has been responsible for the recruitment and management of consultant subcontracts, And performance measurement at various level.
Key Duties and Achievements;
- Responsible to provide backstopping to six project implementing partner’s consortium (two international and 4 national NGOs), under Sukh Initiative. (Sukh Initiative – a 5 year project to increase the use of modern family planning amongst one million underserved beneficiary populations in Karachi, Pakistan, The Initiative emerges out of commitments made by Aman Foundation, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and David and Lucile Packard Foundation at the London Summit for Family Planning 2012).
- Designed and implemented youth engagement initiative, benefiting 20,000 plus young people age (12 – 19) in schools, vocational training centers and out of school youth
- Engaged with government partners for advocacy of FP/SRHR, Gender rights, violence, public health, sustainability and scalability of the best practices
- Responsible to engage a social network of journalists, social activists, youth and policy makers to sensitize on different public health problems
- Develop and ensure implementation of internal supportive supervision mechanism
