The main goal is to improve through optimal feeding the nutritional status, growth and development, health, and thus the survival of infants and young children. women and lactating mothers with support to improve optimal IYCF practices as part of the basic health package.The following 3-Step Counseling steps helped me to counsel, problems solve and reach an agreement with mothers (or caregiver) about infant and young child feeding. The 3- Steps are Assess, Analyze and Act.
