To lead finalisation of the implementation manual of the IPC core components at the facility level Deliverable 1: Submission of final manual and coordination and written input in the external review, editing, designing and clearance processes. Output 2: To lead the finalisation of 2 advanced IPC modules (Leadership and CAUTI). Deliverable 2: Submission of completed IPC training modules on Leadership and CAUTI. Output 3: To lead the e-learning adaptation of advanced IPC training modules. Deliverable 3: Bi-monthly reports summarising stepwise progress on completion of the modules against the target final completion date of 30 June 2018. Output 4: To provide technical IPC input for assessment tools produced by the IPC Global Unit or other departments. Deliverable 4: Written input in assessment tools Output 5: To provide expert input on IPC implementation resources and strategic approaches for the IPC unit, including with other program such as AMR and WASH Deliverable 5: Written input to donor proposals and strategic papers Output 6: To provide technical support and supervision to the IPC projects led by QSR (for example twinning partnerships for improvement) Deliverable 6: notes of calls/discussions with partnership teams/leaders, written input in technical projects. Output 7: To provide support and facilitate the effective functioning of the WHO Taskforce on Quality of Health Service Delivery to include execution of TORs, implementation of defined activity plans (including the knowledge pulse) and supervision of junior project support workers. Deliverable 7: Project reports and agreed outputs (with a focus on quarterly “knowledge pulse”), including Taskforce notes. Output 8: To provide strategic inputs to a range of other work streams of the QSR unit, including key input into the IPC/WASH Learning Pod for the Global Learning Laboratory for Quality UHC; ensuring alignment of the learning laboratory work with the work taken forward by the Taskforce; support Communications and Advocacy development for QSR; and the further development WHO Twinning Partnerships for Improvement Deliverable 8: Summary report – technical input provision. Output 9: To provide technical input into the architecture of a tools & resources compendium related to national quality policy and strategy (NQPS) as part of the overarching WHO NQPS project. Deliverable 9: Compendium of NQPS tools & resources. Output 10: To act as strategic liaison between the QSR unit and IPC unit to facilitate cooperation and understanding across both units in support of inter-unit planning/operational effectiveness and identify potential areas for joint collaborative projects. Deliverable 10: Notes of IPC-QSR meetings/presentations and report of activity and outputs.

Under the technical supervision of the Provincial Polio Team Leader and overall supervision of the WHO Representative, in addition to the guidance provided by the Risk Assessment and Decision Support Team Coordinator, the Provincial Polio Emergency Response unit coordinator will deliver as part of a cross-functional team in the Provincial Emergency Operation Center thats led by the EOC Coordinator and undertakes the following duties:
1.Coordinate and support the RRU officers in their day to day technical work
2.Coordinate with EOC coordinator and WHO team leader and work in building capacity of RRU officers
3.Develop a clear Provincial Policy Framework for the development of a rapid response capacity at all levels.
4.Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI) partners and field staff in the early detection, investigation and response to major events.
5.Work with RRU officers and perform comprehensive risk analyses of emerging events and provide detailed briefings to the Provincial EOC Coordinator and the Partner Technical Leads.
6.Provide trainings to the personnel who are involved in the implementation of major strategic components of the GPEI.
7.Analyze and assess potential risks to the Programmes performance, by:
Reviewing data collected from different sources (eg. socio-demographic data, performance indicators, results of desk and field reviews, campaign outcome indicators, etc.);
Interpreting data to prioritize potential triggers and high-risk areas according to seriousness and possible risk involved; and,
Recommend appropriate actions based on the results of the assessments.
8.Lead response efforts to major events through extended field deployments and provide technical guidance to the EOC Coordinators, District Commissioners, and DPCRs. This response capacity shall be the primary deliverable for the Provincial RRU Officer and will be used to assess overall performance of the officer and the unit.
9.Together with the provincial-level leadership, conduct investigations of important events and outbreaks (eg. WPV, VDPV and SL2) in coordination with GPEI partners, through conducting desk reviews and field investigations.
10.Guide surveillance and government staff and participate in carrying out district-level follow-ups of: zero-dose AFP cases; clustering of AFP cases; community surveys; and healthy children sampling in grey and high-risk areas.
11.Facilitate and support the monitoring efforts during the pre-, intra- and post-campaign phases, with an end towards improving the quality of the campaigns.
12.Design and develop new investigative and response strategies (whenever needed) according to the different field scenarios and new emerging situations.
13.Develop comprehensive and quality reports for different interested parties that incorporate findings and highlight gaps, while suggesting appropriate recommendations with a corresponding action plan, including estimating the extent of risk involved in improving the situation.
14.Present technically sound PowerPoint presentations to various GPEI partners and donors.

Delivered appropriate Dashboard for EPI data, App for entering real time data and managed the underutilized resources. Introduced an effective mechanism or pay for performance and accountability.
Key Accomplishments:
• Developed web-based dash for EPI, accountability and Evaluation mechanism and Vaccination Coverage of all districts
• Established and led the App for entering real time data by vaccinators in outreach and fixed activities of vaccination.

Proactively supported the development of the team member’s functional & leadership capabilities for leading very low Non-Polio AFP Rate of all the Districts and low sensitization regarding AFP Surveillance, also handled effective rationalization of active and zero reporting sites.
