 Working as RF Engineer, core responsibilities are:
- RF Coverage optimization using antenna tilt and azimuth, fine tuning for optimal coverage overlap and reduction of pilot pollution by Ec/No and RSCP improvements.
- Identify the issues in assigned clusters such as dropped calls, pilot pollution, handover issues, poor coverage patches and overshooting of cells and propose the solution.
- Improvement of major KPIs like CSSR, HOSR, DCR.
- To resolve any neighbor and frequency discrepancies to improve overall cluster KPIs.
- Performing neighbor optimization to reduce SHO overhead and to reduce number of drops due to neighbor discrepancies.
- Network redesigning (tilts azimuth and parameter changes) in order to improve the KPIs and Traffic sharing between the neighboring sites without affecting coverage/traffic.
- Responsible for VIP Routes, customer complaints and resolve the issues like weak coverage and dropped calls by adjusting the cell parameters and recommend redesign if necessary.
- Perform intra-frequency, inter-frequency & IRAT neighbors planning.
- Post-processing of GSM/UMTS using different Tools to determine optimal site operation and functionality.
- Troubleshooting problems like missing neighbors, coverage holes, areas of no dominance, overshooting sites, parameter inconsistency etc. through drive log analysis.
- Analyzing integration reports of new sites based on Drive Test and neighbor analysis.
- Analysis of Drive test log files (2G/3G) and troubleshooting of the problems related to coverage, quality, drop calls, Blocked calls, Handover failure, overshooting and interference based on Events, Layer2/Layer3 message by using TEMs Data Collection and ACTIX.
- Responsible for making of SSV & cluster reports using MapInfo.
- Confirming DT plan, DT Method, DT Route, CQT spot and VIP areas.
- Responsible for technical support to all the site engineers.
