■ Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice, cost estimating vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
■ Ensure the organisation has a robust cost estimating process in place to meet production/project requirements and in line with quality standards
■ Support continuous improvement through cost engineering techniques and processes, identifying inefficiencies and cost optimisation opportunities
Review, analyse and understand economic trends and consider risks and cost implications
Utilise cost methodologies and tools and appropriate software models and packages to prepare and maintain reliable and accurate data.
Ensure professional and consistent cost engineering management processes are applied in the business
Ensure appropriate monitoring, reporting systems and procedures are in place to meet objectives

1.To implement best costing techniques to identify relevant cost center and departmental cost, ensure best internal controls and to develop the system to control cost in production process and supply chain process
2.To be responsible for product costing , transfer pricing and project costing like assembly plant , toll manufacturing, business plans and other critical analysis, capital budgeting and other project appraisal techniques for strategic decision making
3. To communicate with vendors, make active participation for development of vendors, ensure best control over procurement process and report analysis to management, arranging all the documentation, information, certificates and compliance.
4.Ensure appropriate monitoring, reporting systems and procedures are in place to meet objectives and to provide strategic and operational information and reports to share with others as and when required.
5.Analyze and identify key areas of improvement and apply cost estimation techniques to drive cost reductions and aid operational processes and efficiency.
6.Review, analyze and understand economic trends and consider risks and cost implications Utilize cost methodologies and tools and use appropriate software models and packages to prepare and maintain reliable and accurate data.
7.Support supplier meetings and negotiations to challenge quotation prices and aim for cost reductions to meet target costs and work closely with the Purchasing team to ensure purchasing strategies are maximized.
8.Provide your inputs in improving business processes, efficient utilization of resources, application of cost effective measures, supply chain management and devising overall strategies and working models to meet internal targets and external challenges, in short having a position responsible for profitability and sustainable cash flows
