Project: Construction of Lake City Roof Garden Apartments Lahore (Ground plus 11 Floors), Cost: (PKR) 8.5 Billion
• Leading the construction manager’s team and managing the day-to-day activities of the process, including establishing priorities and work assignments to labor contractors.
• Budget monitoring, cash flows, scheduling of project resources, and its allocation to ensure project activities are running safely, within budget and on time.
• Conducting weekly meetings with client and contractors for progress review.
• Analyzing contractor’s plans, technical submittals and look ahead plan.
From Dec 2019 to May 2020:
Project: Construction of FFC Tower Lahore initiated by Imperium Hospitality (Pvt.) Ltd (4 Basements, Ground plus 18 Floors with flat slabs using Unidome special bi-axial voided slab system)
• Worked in PMO, steered the project and oversaw the development of the project and ensured that team members carried out their tasks efficiently while upholding the company's standards.
• Developed Project management plans, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various project deliverables.
Project: Design and Build of New Orbital Highway and Truck Route Contract 3, Cost: (USD) 1,687,000,000. Scope: The New Orbital Highway is a 57 km road connecting 5 main Interchanges, 4 grade separated clover leaf type Interchanges and 1 grade separated junction, comprising 24 bridges, 18 braiding structures, emergency exists, bicycle underpasses, protection of Qatar Petroleum pipelines and other major utilities.
From February 2017 to May 2019: Worked closely with all levels of management, engineers and field operations staff to finalize and streamline the handover process which involved closure of NCR's, snags,
Outstanding works and SOR's. Coordinated with supervision consultant AECOM and client ASHGHAL RMD to arrange handover inspections, finalizing redlines, as-built drawings and Operation Maintenance manual.
From August 2015 to Jan 2017: Worked as execution engineer and successfully finished mock-up bridge, main bridges, ramp bridges and truck underpasses. Supervised excavation, foundations construction, waterproofing (dry & wet conditions), backfilling, abutments & pier columns, bearing plinths, bearing shelves, stem walls, approach slabs, counterbalance slabs, Freyssinet MSE walls, VSL precast bridge segments and MAURER expansion joints and bridge pre-cast elements.
Projects: Construction of various projects including Engineering Block-1 &2, biogas plant, swimming pool and teaching hospital with KIRBY structure, computer science department building, mosque, pavilion, link bridge, hostel extension, roads, auditorium, CSSD kitchen and underground facilities, including service ducts for IT network, manholes, storm water drainage and sewer network, Cost: PKR 722,000,000.
• Assisted Project Director and managed multimillion rupees projects initiated by the university.
• Ensured the quality of construction by direct supervision, and led the team of engineers, supervisors and quantity surveyors deployed in main and sub campuses.
• Performed budget monitoring and trend tracking, reviewed and approved bids, contractor's invoices, claims, change orders and engineering audits of sub campuses.
• Assisted in assessing maintenance, renovation and facility upgrading needs.
Executed various EPIC projects inside live plants including EPIC of OSGP work for 2012 shutdown at ORYX GTL, EPIC of new facilities at crude oil Tank Farm in Qatar Petroleum, Supply and installation of power and lighting cables to the new Warehouses and lay-down area at JBOG Port site Qatar gas, Construction, installation & commissioning of “collection, storage & transfer of waste water” system in QAFCO.
• Reported to Sr. Project Manager and responsible for execution of all structural works involved in shutdowns inside the live plants.
• Handled overall activities including setting out, excavation, reinforcement, formwork, getting pre-pour approvals, concrete pouring, protective coats and miscellaneous works adhere with safety and quality.
• Prepared QIP's, JHA's, RFI's, method statements, material submittals, shop drawings and necessary formats.
• Interface with client for the approvals, progress review and scheduled meetings.
• Executed excavation of utility trenches, supply, laying & termination of power cables at JBOG
• Handled construction of 150 m3 waste water collection pits, underground tanks, shoring piles, utility trenches, manholes, pipes laying, pavement cutting and restoration inside QAFCO
• Assisted Principal Research Officer for quality testing under the scope of GTRR (geo-techniques and road research) laboratory, conducted technical tests (Sieve Analysis, Atterberg Limits, Hydrometer Analysis, Moisture Density relation and field density test) and submitted the reports to clients.
• Conducted tests on road material for various regions of Sindh, evaluated and submitted investigation reports on President of Pakistan Directives.
• Received membership of Pakistan Standards Quality Control Authority PSQCA technical committees BDC-13 & 17 for developing Pakistan Highway Standards.
• Attended various international/national seminars and workshops on various areas with active participation from R&D organizations, industries, overseas OEMs and academic institutions.
Project: Infrastructure Development of Sindh Industrial & Trading Estate, Cost: PKR 954.828 million
• Developed project estimates, PC-1, Project documents, work schedules, tenders for the roads, culverts and residential buildings.
• Conducted site surveys, geometric design of roads and culverts, field tests and quality inspections
Project: Construction of Metro Cash & Carry Store Karachi, Cost: PKR418.84 million
• Supervised KIRBY structures, fence, boundary wall, gatepost foundations, guardhouse, lampposts, truck canopies, road barriers and signage structures.
• Supervised utility structures i.e. grease traps, manholes, storm water collection tanks, shafts, trenches under slabs, electrical cable ducts.
• Supervised diesel storage tank, underground storage tanks, car parking foundations, good receiving truck canopy platforms and transformer room, asphalt pavements, concrete pavements and Rinol floors.
Project: Construction of New US Consulate Compound Karachi, Cost: USD 6,418,493
• As subcontractor of BL Harbert International Supervised the construction of utility structures i.e. Pile work, deep trenches, duct banks, manholes, electrical ducts, catch basins and storm drains.
• Organized site tests, check requests, daily/monthly progress reports, materials submittals
Project: Construction of MCB Regional Office Building, Basement plus 8 floors, Cost: PKR158 million
• Worked as the lead liaison between the client, designer and the contractor and managed the planning, coordination and implementation of project processes
• Performed site supervision of entire RCC building structure, plumbing works, and complete building finishes.
• Managed contracts, verification of contractor’s bills, claims and day to day site issues.
• Ensured progress monitoring through meetings and coordination with client, designers and contractors
Project: Construction of Sher Shah Bridge over River Chenab (N-70), Cost: PKR 950.4 million
• Worked closely with contractor and consultant for site supervision of earthwork, drilling, rebar work and concreting of piles.
• Involved in operations related to casting, stressing and grouting of girders.
