I have three years of experience in operations management and supply chain management and currently I am working as a Key Account Manager in the vendor operations department of the Pakistan’s leading ecommerce company daraz.pk (AliBaba Group)
At Daraz, I am responsible for sourcing daily merchandise demand; majority of them electrical appliances. This number, however, is steadily growing, owing to the increase in the number of accounts I look after. Another important part of my job is after sales issue resolution. On average, the cases assigned to me are solved within 50 % of the allowed time.
Before Daraz I worked at an internet marketing company as a part of product development team. There, I played an important role in taking my department from “behind the schedule” to “ahead of schedule”. I was given greater responsibilities and complete ownership of my projects very soon after I joined.
Years of experience in operations management in challenging roles and changing environments have helped me acquire and hone time management skills, effective communication and persuasive skills, structured thinking, quantitative management skills including use of algorithms to solve complex problems and ability to search through the reams of data to extract out the required info.
I was awarded the academic roll of honour and gold medal for excellent performance in the bachelor’s degree. I was also awarded scholarship while undertaking the undergraduate studies.
I love trying new ideas, learning new skills and exploring unexplored areas while demonstrating an unwavering commitment to continuous improvement and carefully calculated risk taking.

Key Accounts Manager - Operations
1. Work closely with over 1000 merchants for orders’ fulfillment and resolution of after-sales issues.
2. Maintain cordial business relationships with widely known and trusted brands the likes of which are Haier, Samsung, TCL, Panasonic, Phillips etc.
3. Coordinate with the suppliers to meet the daily demand and present a transparent picture of the demand-supply behavior to the top management.
4. Proactively work with suppliers to avoid losing any business on account of unavailability of merchandise.
5. In collaboration with the management, decide for a supplier the shipping model. i.e. from cross-dock to dropship and hub-drop-off and 3PL drop-off.
6. Reconciling the stock issues by bridging the gap between suppliers and warehouse team.
7. Deftly handling the after-sales issues by solving the customers’ concerns in the time-frame desired by the customer.
Operations Executive
1. Manage development and customization of websites for the overseas clients.
2. Ensured adequate accuracy and timely completion of the projects in a department where missing deadlines was a matter of habit. Enabled the company to meet deadlines at the time when six projects were already waiting in line.
3.Delivered speedy and error-free results through the efficient, smart and innovative use of technology. Made smart use of spreadsheets and previously unknown WP Plugins to save time and increase accuracy.
HR Officer
This job embodied a large variety of tasks. List of those tasks is:
1- Employee record keeping; both paper and virtual
2- Documenting and processing employee benefits e.g. EOBI, Medical Claims etc.
3- Shortlisting and conducting telephonic interviews of job applicants.
4- Looking through and grading the written assessments submitted by applicants.
5- Preparing the identification documents for the employees e.g. organization cards.
6. Payroll processing tasks.
Along with the above mentioned tasks a did a couple of projects that are mentioned below:
1- The project included employee turnover rate calculation, identification of the key causes of separation from job and provision of solution for the problem.
2- I conducted a survey to find out the satisfaction of company wide employees from all levels with the HR policies. I conducted this project under my manager's supervision.
This job in fact helped me to understand the values of a civilized corporate culture. The horizons of learning in this job were pretty diverse. Where I learnt working smartly with data; making use of MS office(and other) tools, I also learnt people management and relationship building.
Customer Representative Officer
As a customer representative officer I was responsible for cold-calling. We were a group of people working for a law firm. The job involved telling clients about the service of the company and to ascertain whether they are eligible for the service or not.
The experience obtained from this job is unique and invaluable. I gained the skills like team-playing, effective communication, pressure and stress handling, and meeting the remote targets in a small time span. This job also helped me understand the human behavior and psychology. In a client management job, one learns how to deal with the people very different in nature from one another.
Supervisor
In this role I supervised the overall production activities and ensured the completion of tasks in a given time. I was responsible to ensure that the requirements of all the customers are fulfilled without any delay and the customer is provided with the best value for money.
As this job involved producing results in less time so here I honed my time management skills. In addition to time management I also learnt how to manage people and put them to work as I had to get the work done by people. Moreover I had to deal with new people everyday so I learned people's skill and learned how to adapt to the changing needs.
